In this instance - if such negotiations never took place - then Hopkins has taken it upon himself to make what he would call a gangster move where he has put another figure out in the media for Adamek to be aware of. Once he said it - it was no longer untrue. All Adamek's team has to do is call up GBP headquarters and accept the terms.

B-Hop. Ever seen him dismantle Trinidad, Pavlik, Tarver, Johnson or Antwon Echols. Masterful performances all. I'm just kidding with you. Adamek is a great fighter and very fun to watch. I've been impressed with his domination of the cruiserweights. Too bad he never rematched Dawson.

Right. Hopkins is truly a guy who should consider going into promoting full time. He gets what makes boxing a big event and on top of that, he can lie like a mother ****er.
It's entirely possible they just didn't agree on money. That's not "pussing out" or "getting cold feet" or anything of the sort. Just one guy with an over saturated opinion of himself and his fiscal worth.
Yeah well said there, Mex, all the respect for Hopkins and his one of a kind incredible career of taking on the system and kicking it's ass, but he flat out changed his mind about wanting to tangle with Adamek after seeing the Banks KO performance. This is a fantastic endorsement and showing of respect for Adamek by a legend like Hopkins and hopefully Adamek can capitalize on it with some big money fights.
