I just seen an interview with Richard Shaffer that Mayweather has a potential "list" of fighters who he would like to fight if /when he beats Marquez.

The names on that list are:

    Manny Pacquiao
    Shane Mosley
    Miguel Cotto

So what do you guys think about that?

He doesn't seem to be ducking any of the top welterweights and has future plans of facing those guys.

Should he keeps winning the fights with those other guys should get bigger and bigger.

Mosley should be taken off that list. And Cotto needs to beat Clottey first.

Other than that Pacquaio is the best option.

The reason I left Mosley off is because He is not the biggest fight of the 3. And he adds nothing to floyds legacy.

The negotiations to pull those off will be harder than the actual fights.

That list should surprise no one. I don't see who else he would fight after Marquez.

i would love a cotto fight. If pac beats him im guessing wed see a rematch--floyd would probably have that covered

The public views are the real promoters ... if the public wants the fight between Cotto and Floyd to happen then it will happen ... no doubt about it ...

Arum plays no part in this ... especially if he wants his fighter to stay atop of the boxing world.

I would like to see all 3 of these fights ... i'm sure they all can bring something to the table ... and if Floyd v Marquez does 1m buys then i'm sure that those guys would break their promotional contracts trying to make a fight happen with floyd.

Just think you're guaranteed to make your career high payday once you agree to fight Mayweather and for many thats alot of money.

he would probably say the same thing shane says about him....

"he isnt a welter and I'm not trying to fight a guy that big"

pac vs mayweather would make so much money... a rematch would probably out do it by 25% more

i wish ****ing cotto beat stupid ass margarito..... I think that fight would be such a healthy fight for boxing & for america...

    - cotto beat shane so people would really believe cotto vs floyd would be the end of the road
    - blk's vs latino's always does well
    - cotto woudl have went on to fight oscar and tear him apart so the buzz would have been huge.... better than floyd vs pacman i think

Mosley is arguably the biggest test of all three.

Yeah he didnt come back for the money (even though the money is good) he came back because he knows he can beat all these guys, so why not do it.

Then why didn't he fight them before?

Of course he is back for the money.

The guy is all about the money, he doesn't care about his legacy. In his own eyes he's already the G.O.A.T - he doesn't feel like he has to prove anything to himself or anybody else.

    I don't think so.

then again, I never saw Margo as a huge threat and Mosley beating him wasn't that big of a deal.

Personally I think Mosley's combination of speed, power and aggression makes him the biggest threat. I think it's evident he has the power to potentially stop Floyd if he can land, he's shown it all though his career. Though obviously not one punch.

Also his chin, I mean Floyd's power is under-rated and I think a guy like Pacquiao for example, he's still not used to 147 power having not been hit by De La Hoya or even Hatton at 140. Nor David Diaz at 135. And I think Pacman would have to respect Floyd's power and Floyd could not necessarily back him up but make him more cautious.

Shane however has faced far bigger punchers and shown an iron chin, he can definately walk through Floyd's punches presuming he sees them coming first, and I think combinations and sharp jab are the key to opening up Floyd's excellent defence, 2 things I think Sugar Shane has. Along with that power and aggressive and overall class and experience as a fighter and a proven 147.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Shane would 100% beat Floyd, it's a very tough ask and Floyd would be a deserved favourite, but I'd give Shane a better chance of an upset than Manny or Cotto.
