How come, in general, the media seems to have no problem between the size difference between these two? Even guys who like to **** with Mayweather like Brian Kenney and Doug Fischer don't seem to have a problem with the size disparity. Many have even expressed surprise that Mayweather is taken on such a high caliber of opponent after such a long layoff. Has the boxing public become used to these catchweight fights and simply don't care anymore? Are today's boxing writers and analysts clueless? Or, is the size issue not much of a concern with all things considered?

They're probably just happy that Mayweather is back and giving them something to write about.

That and the JMM/Floyd conflict is a mere formality to most media members.

The ones in the know, Expect a tune-up. (And see JMM as a test they expect PBF to pass)
The stupid ones who don't know **** about boxing, well that's self explained.

Its the same with you, except your on the nutthugging side of the fence.
If Floyd chose to fight Calderon you'll be on here saying "Well floyd didnt start off at 147!"

The **** are you on about, keep running? Who's running, and from what? You?
Nobody said floyd was in the wrong, he is just, as usual, fighting opponets that we all know wont give him a tough test. So I guess you'll just have to keep waiting (wait, by the way, is the correct spelling of the word, moron)

heres the thing i noticed about most floyd huggers, they dont want their boy to be in tough fights, they enjoy him winning easy.

Floyd will be favored against everyone.

He's fighting a smaller man again? Hatton was the same damn size.

I'd imagine because it's Marquez he's fighting. Looking past the size issue for the minute, you're talking about a man that has been retired since late 2007 and is gonna step in the ring with the consenus p4p no.2 in the world. Mayweather could of chosen a far easier fight than Marquez on his return to the ring.

When Mayweather easily wins this fight, I fully expect it to be ridiculed/discredited the way his wins usually are.

as above. anybody else taking this fight after such a long layoff would not be as heckled as mayweather is. give the guy a break, he is fighting one of the best in the world in his comeback fight, which will make the pac fight even bigger if it does happen.
and with regards to weight......in the past fighters were commended for fighting up and down the weights, giving us classic fights, the duran/leonard/hearns/hagler fights being prime examples. i dont see what the problem is nowadays
