    Maybe a few lbs.. but the fight is at 147 with Marquez confirming he is bulking.

    150+????? I don't think so!

    There won't be anymore than a 3 pound difference on fight night.

    He weighed 140 for Diaz so I don't think he'll be putting more than 5 to 7 pounds of muscle on.

    JMM 143/145

    Mayweather 144/150

    I reckon Mayweather will step in the ring with about a 5 or 6 lbs advantage.

    Mentally and emotionally he will be prepared...Physically he is going to get beat however..Physically he wont be able to contend with Floyd...

    Mayweather= 149
    Marquez= 144

    The weight advantage for Mayweather won't be huge on fight night. In fact, it seems most of the fights in recent memory in which people say before hand "so and so is way too small", it actually hasn't looked like that big of a difference when in the ring.

    But Mayweather's much more used to fighting bigger guys than Marquez, and that's a bigger advantage for him than the extra few pounds he'll have on JMM in the ring.

    Personally, I feel the reach advantage.. is of FAR greater importance than the weight advantage here.

    Marquez can take a shot... we all know that.

    In a fight like this between two ultra-intelligent boxers... Physical stats become extremely important. a 6-inch reach advantage possessed by Floyd (that's half a foot!) will prove vital.

    The Great Juan Manuel better have his timing down... and have worked on becoming (relatively) quicker and more explosive.

    Anyways, I've never seen a fight in which Marquez was DECISIVELY beaten...
    & somehow, I don't think this will be the first... unless age really is catching up with Marquez now. Ofcourse there's the issue of weight.. he's never fought above 135.. and even at 135 he hasn't looked quite as fluid as at 130 or 126!

    Here's to hoping, though!

    what are you talking about..AT 135 MARQUEZ LOOKED GREAT AND PUT ON EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES...AT 126 HE HAD A CONTROVERSIAL LOSS TO CHRIS JOHN BUT BOTH PERFORMANCES AT LW WERE BETTER THAN THAT 1!

    Marquez will probably weigh in at 142 and 145 during the fight night.
    Mayweather will weigh in at 146 and 150 during the fight night.

    He did look great... i haven't said he didn't look great. He didn't look as FLUID, though. He wasn't as mobile on his feet & his reflexes were slightly slower (atleast in the first half of the fight: where you can say it's because the other 2 start fast + Marquez is definitely a slow-starter takes a lil bit of time to get his opponent's timing down!)

    Now that can either be attributed to him fighting both Casamayor & Diaz's fights.. and beating them both at their own games...

    or, it's because of the extra few lbs he's been putting on... combined with him AGING. I like to think it's the earlier, rather than the latter, however we all gotta age one day... I just hope it isn't any time soon for JMM!

    jmm weighed 140 in his most recent fight @135. it would be very detrimental for him to come in @145 or more in his very next fight. that sudden increase in fighting weight will certainly have a bad effect on his speed, stamina, reflexes and movement. adding weight should be a gradual process.

    in contrast, pac has gained only 1-2 lbs. in fighting weight since moving up from 130. that's why he has retained his speed, stamina, activity and movement while seemingly increasing his punching power since he doesn't have to drain himself too much to make weight anymore.
