Honestly, the Hopkins fight impressed the **** out of me and made me a fan of Kelly. He showed great heart and incredible mental toughness. Hopkins threw everything but the kitchen sink at him and tried to break him down mentally but Kelly KEPT COMING FORWARD. ****ing hard **** that Pavlik is. Sure, he's a limited fighter, but he can bang and he's great at what he does. I really like the guy.

You touched on the only positive thing that Pavlik fans can take away from the Hopkins fight. Kelly got his ass whipped round after round after round. Leow ask him if he wanted to quit a few times and KP said "Hell no," and in the final seconds of the final round he was still coming forward trying to make something happen.

I don't know what you're talking about but Kelly Pavlik is the least bit overrated. He gave Edison Miranda his first KO loss - after the controversay with Abraham ... then he beat an undefeated Jermain Taylor. I think he's doing well ... there isn't many elite middleweights out there and eventually if he doesn't get the Abraham fight - he might have to move up.

    Based on what?

Even with turbo chargers on his track shoes Mora would get hunted down and knocked the **** out.

KP can fight! Miranda and JT are very good fighters. Edison Miranda only lost to the elite and same with Taylor.

People seem to have forgotten KP was the under dog in both those fights. Doesn't the fact that he went in as the under dog, and sparked them both point to being under rated rather than over rated?

    100% agreed

Even in SMW there's isn't anybody who is unbeatable for Pavlik. I'm not convinced that Kessler is as good as many people believe. If Pav and AA move up they will definitely play a key role in the SMW division.

I really dont feel like hes overrated, hes always been known as a little technically crude, but relentless, and can punch..

Fundamentally, hes ok, its just that hes nothing special there, and his defense is a little loose, which is probably due to his offense...

I wanna see him mix it up with Abraham of course, or Paul Williams.

Kessler might be a bad matchup for Pavlik, cause hes a sharpshooter with his straights, although so is Pavlik...that would be an interesting fight.

He is overrated. He can't take a smart fighter with movement and hand speed.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

    Talk about cherrypicking!

You chopped out the most important piece to that quote, which made it true.

Jermain Taylor is not a smart fighter. If he was, he would have picked his shots against Pav when he had him down, instead of throwing himself out, knowing he had stamina issues.

If he was smart, he would have gotten on his bike against Froch, or either tries to hold him continuously, instead of laying on the ropes waiting to be canned.

    C'mon man, you know better.

Taylor's hand speed is great but his movement isn't that great at all, plus he isn't a smart boxer. He still gave Pavlik alot of trouble in their two fight's.
