Out of the modern-day fighters, which 3 (rank them please) have the top 3 followings in Boxing (this is not the same as straight-up popularity... which Oscar wins hands down).

    1) Pacquiao

    2) Hatton

    3) Cotto

I don't even think the top3 is debatable.

Be interesting to hear suggestions of other huge/big followings fighting for 4th & 5th....

    Modern-day, present.

Tyson's been done since Lennox...! Oscar over-took him after that.... in terms of being a draw.

if by following you mean ''fans follow the fighter to fights all over the globe'' then Hatton is no 1.

I don't know about that. People were still very willing to pay PPV prices to watch Tyson in a ****ing exhibition match. Now that's drawing power right there baby.

Not a good way to look at it, Pac has a much higher percentage of followers in the Philippines than Hatton does in Britain but there's no where near as many filipinos who can afford plane tickets all over the world as there are Brits.

Hatton has the most dedicated & loyal fans, no doubt, there.

But in terms of following numbers, Pacquiao just about beats him. Every single Filipino knows who Pacquiao is. If they don't it's a shock... even if they're female. If you're British & female but don't know who Hatton is.. you're forgiven. That's the difference.

Yep, basically what I said in my last post.

Even if The Phillipines was a prosperous, rich nation.. I'd still question that.
British fans are known to be the most hard-working & loyal in the world of sports. They bust their savings to go follow their idols around Europe (and in the case of Hatton- the world!).

Just look at World Cups (football-- real football, not the American game where the ball barely touches your foot). More English fans will travel to faraway places than people from any other country would or do to support their team!

#1 is Pacquaio. No doubt about it.

The President of the Phillipines actually said that if Pac wants to become President, he would step aside and allow him to do so.

The Filipino army is constitutionally obliged to come to the aid of Pacquiao and his family should they ever be in danger.

This **** is for real, look it up.
