I reckon Cotto would be buoyed by the fact that Marg more than likely fought him with loaded gloves first time round . Cotto UD

Cotto clinches, doesnt give Marg room and uses Mosleys blueprint to knock Margarito out this time.

 

I think it would be the same outcome. Margarito will win by late KO. Styles make fights.

If Cotto BOXES & doesn't let himself get pinned against the ropes (but rather looks to push Marga back by boxing him).. then he can win on PTS. So I voted as such.

but tbh, Cotto has a lil too much pride & a little less intelligence inside the Ring when a situation thrusts itself upon him.. he would probably fight the same thinking that he only got pummeled due to Marga's wraps...!

You gotta think though that Margarito has lost some confidence as a result of wraps-gate also.




On a different note, didn't Roach say he will be training Margarito now???
I mean if this is the case.. I woulda voted Margarito by Stoppage again

 

to hit margarito with combos and clinch so he doesnt get no momentum like the cotto fight cotto would throw combos and pace backwards alowwing margo to hit him mosley clinched every time when he hit margarito with something big gave him no room to throw punches

 

Mosley was always a bad match-up for the flat-footed Margarito.
The thing was in his Mayorga fight he looked old, slow on his feet & lacklustre... UNTIL the last round or two...iirc & given Tony's aura... these are the reasons why Margarito was a fairly big favourite!


A prime-Mosley is always too fast & powerful for the flat-footed Margarito!
Floyd too would've taken care of Margarito (but he wasn't sure about this given Margarito's work-rate.. hence why he ducked him for so many years... hoping that someone else would take care of him-- which Sugar Shane did, in good time).

Cotto isn't as fast as Mosley or as powerful... but he's versatile & can definitely box Margarito.

Key is, use lateral movement & don't let him pin you against the ropes....
Make Margarito be the one against the ropes, on the back-foot.

 

Cotto by stoppage, I think that the Mosley beating has finished Margo.

 

Tough call, I think cotto on points if he holds after dropping heavy shots-contrary to what he states is his style, but margo took his punches regardless of wraps being wrapped (if that was the case)
