If I were ranking them.. I'd have:

    1= Khan & JuanMa

    3. Donaire (he will face lesser-quality fighters.../more washed up fighters, in all likelihood... but will still look good & win a ridiculous amount of titles in different weights... -- i just wish Gary Shaw would stop being a dick & let Vic Darchinyan get the the re-match he wants!)

    4. Valero

    5. Victor Ortiz

    6. Yuriorkis Gamboa

    ..then the rest.

Berto's size don't help him out much for division-jumping... he gotta really chase the current crop of welterweights and beat them all if he wants to put himself up there. He won't do it, though...!

    ah yes, Erislandy Laaaaaaaraaaa.

Though, I think a "Can't decide between Khan & JuanMa" option has greater right to be in this poll!

I can not understand all this sudden optimism about Khan. Don't overestimate Roach influence and a premature ended match against Barera. He had problem taking a punch at lightweight how do you see him go to middleweight is beyond any reason for me. I voted Ortiz he's a charismatic guy and can box very well. Plus he is very big jww so he can jump to the star divison later.

He is very similar to a young De La Hoya.. the only difference is the ability to take a shot.

No-one's saying Khan is going to take on all-comers and go fight the likes of Juan Diaz & Valero... or Marquez (atleast while Marquez isn't a SHOT fighter).
He will win belts at multiple weights... just like Oscar. Even if he doesn't BEAT the HOF'ers he faces.

I suspect Khan sucks at cutting weight.... and will be able to take a shot better @ 140. (Though I'm not saying he doesn't have a bad-chin...-- when blown-up non-punching superfeathers floor you, you know you're in dire need of a Mexican jaw transplant).

that's exactly what i don't get, khan is WAY WAY overrated. he fought a quality opponent and got KO'd the F*** out in an hardcore way. i believe most people make him out to be greater than he really is because of his win over a past his prime barrera.

    hmm :huh ......:D

Khan actually had a good shot on a prime Barrera @ 135.
Barrera always struggled with speed.... & wouldn't be able to handle Khan's speed + volume of punches.
Khan is a HUGE lightweight whereas Barrera wasn't even big for 130!
    Then Reach discrepancy, also.

Prescott, being a large rangey lightweight knockout artist, always had a better shot than Barrera.

However, Warren making the match was still taking a huge risk with Khan's only post-Prescott win being vs. Schoolteacher Oisin ***an!

Morales is a different matter, though.. as he is a better boxer than Barrera ON HIS FEET... & is much more rangey.

Nonito Donaire looks like the full package to me, and he has the build to go up as high as 122lb eventually, in my opinion. Great power, great variety of punches that he puts in combination's very well. I think if he fought Darchinyan again, the same thing would ensue. He just lands that counter left at will against somebody as wreckless as Vic.

JuanMa, Victor Ortiz, Korobov, Guerrero, and Valero have great futures too.

You have to love it though. Everytime all the great household names are getting old and don't have long left, there always seem to be new young prospects coming through to take over. I'm liking the look of this "new generation".
