joshua clottey is overrated

Don't care too much for Clottey, but he is pretty rough physically. He also beat Judah , which only the top guys have been able to do.
The one thing that bothers me about Clottey is how he dropped the ball when he fought Margarito. That big show about the sore hands, just as Marg was coming on, showed little mental resolve . Which boxer in the world doesn't have sore hands? Even Paulie Mallignaggi , who punches like Princess Stephanie of Monaco , hurts his hands.
Sorry Clottey, I'm not buying that excuse.

 

Wow - most people don't even know of Clottey - yet we have thread that calls him overrated. I guess because some people - such as myself - are picking him to beat the already beaten Cotto.

After Clottey wins - then you can ask again - "Whom has he beaten?"

 

If anyone is overrated it's Miguela the Metrosexual.

No way. Cotto needs credit for taking on a stylisitic (like Mosley did when fighting Wright and Forrest when no one wanted to) nightmare with the Ghanian tight guard, accurate and fast power and a massive weight advantage.

Exactly. Anyone that knows boxing, regardless of what anybody else says, knows that this will be a tough fight for both fighters. This fight is not a tune up for Cotto.

 

One of the most overrated guys right now, being called elite and A class by too many people despite not proving much at all. The guy runs out of gas too soon, decent speed and power not tested yet. Picking Cotto by UD.

He's a good fighter, not an elite ATG like the Margarito fans desperately try to make him be and we all know why the desperation is there, if they don't mention Clottey then who will they mention?, Manuel Gomez?, Andrew "Six heads zero chins" Lewis?
