For the fact that Mayweather has been away from the game for so long is only going to add to the sales.

Pac only sold that many because of Hatton ...

When he and Marquez fought it was 500k buys ... i'm sure a fight between Mayweather and Marquez will double that.

Right this is what I think too. I see some people slighting it in other threads with 500 K but that's not happening. Neither is 1M IMO. Hatton vs Floyd did 900K but JMM doesn't really have the market for that. Not only that but the PPV market wasn't as dead then as it is now.

    I'd say 800 to 900K.

Just think if boxing wasnt so ****ed up and they would have got together and put on a PPV that had Floyd vs JMM and Hatton vs Pac on one card. **** it would have did like 2 million, and there would have been bidding wars for area tickets. Man if only boxing could get it together and offer us cards like that.:happy

It will do more than JMM/Pac and that is really all that matters.

I can't wait to hear Arum explain that to us.

These are different times my friend. The economy isn't what it was when Floyd was fighting Oscar and Ricky.

Mayweather's already getting good mainstream sports network coverage for the fight, that will only increase as we get closer.

I had figured that Pac-Hatton had an edge due to the amount of time they had to build the fight. However, the marketing machine is out in full bore for this one.

I would say 900k is realistic
