    this fight is a very important fight for us boricuas.. i got family in puerto rico and they say this is what everyone is talking about this fight .....if miguel wins this will set up a mega fight between either manny pac or sugar shane mosley 2 .....i made this thread becuase im tired of people saying cotto is road kill this fight will be highley competive... and ive been a fan of clottey for a while i seen about 15 of his fights he is good but i dont think he has been tested the right way yet thats why im going with cotto UD

    Well, according to a lot of Cotto fans, the guy is garbage. You can't have it both ways. It's ridculous to sit around disparaging the quality of an upcoming opponent and then turn around and start talking up how great your favorite fighter is just because he beat him. This is a page straight out of the Klitschko fanatics guide to being shitty boxing fans. If you want Miguel to get full credit for victory over Clottey you should tell people like the thread starter to STFU.

    corley wasn't a hard puncher and had only 17 kos in 32 fights i believe when cotto fought him and cotto was rocked..

    Clottey has a lot more power than corley.

    Zab rocked him and had him hurt in their fight at 1 time and zab isn't a huge ko machine...

    Again clottey is an underrated fighter imo and i hope you come on here next month after the fight so u can fess up that u was proved wrong boi!

    i aint no shitty boxing fan what im simply saying that alot if people are overating clottey in this fight ......but any way what diffrence does it make what we say about the topic ...its all up to miguel n josh to prove who is the better man

    as a Cotto fa i do believe Cotto is going to win but by no means is Clottey an easy opponent. This will be a hard fight for Cotto but i know he will be prepared and come out with a close but clear victory.

    He's overrated depending on who you ask. Some think very little of him and tend to blow him off as a serious opponent at 147, others overrate him and think he's better than what he actually is.

    He's a good, solid contender IMO. Nothing truly special though. World class, but not elite. That's why I don't think Cotto will have too many problems with him as I don't think he's quite on Cotto's level.

    I am a Boricua and the truth is I dont see Cotto winning, this fight is important to us fans of Boxing, not us puerto ricans or africans, I am a fan of the sport, and I am not limited to supporting just my countrymen, the truth is Clottey has been tested the right way, and that was against Margarito who made Miguel quit.

    i dont always support my countrymen i think angulo is going to rip cintrons head off soon ....but i was raised in a faMILly that loves boxing ive been a fan of miguel since he rocked rocky martinez ....im going with a cotto UD
