yeh it is a great fight the ending is awesome as well

Gatti vs Chacon would be good but i think Chacon would be too good for him and KO him mid rounds in a war but not as good asthis fight

also check out Chacon vs Limon 4 not as much drama but the same pace and tempo of the 2nd edwards fight but over 15

    Leonard-Hearns I.

A fight that could have been scripted for a movie, but it was real.

High stakes with two legendary fighters, long, momentum shifts, different styles used, clean, and a decisive finish.

ok ok the hagler hearns fight was pretty good, 3rd rd ko , i was amazed how hagler found a way against that long reach of hearns. the first rd is legendary. another i like was the leonard duran fights. duran was obviously more dialed in via the first fight but his festivive ways got the best of him in their second when he quit. this made me lose whatever repect i had for the little latino man. spaking of duran i watched the hearns duran fight and felt my jaw break when hearns dropped that wide open bomb on duran in the second to end the fight.

I'll just never see the fascination with Leonard-Hearns I. IMO it's the most overrated fight in history.

My favourite boxing match would probably be Riddick Bowe vs Evander Holyfield 1. It's the greatest Heavyweight fight of all time in my estimation, and is not only a credit to the skill and ability of both combatants, but they both had to overcome great adversity to see the final bell.

Bowe showed the world that he was a legitimate elite Heavyweight, and so did Evander Holyfield, even in defeat.

I don't need to explain the action. It's unsurpassed.

I too dont understand why this makes a lot of lists, it was more a tactical back & forth fight than a war like SRL/Duran I - which I personally think tops Hagler/Hearns as the best fight of the fab 4 aswell as my own personal top 5 all time.
Good fight, very significant, massive fight for its time, better than DLH/Tito in every way for sure but not an ATG fight IMHO.

It was a good fight, but unsurpassed ?

Ali/Frazier III (& even I) blow it away IMO, no problem at all.

For sheer artistry on SRRs part on how to play matador to JLMs bull... yes, a work of art, Jake was a spectator to this brilliance tho from about rd 7 onwards, that will hurt its ranking on most lists probably.

    You can add EM/Pac I... Chacon/Limon IV... Chavez/Taylor I to the list.
