i dont always get the ppv, only when there is a match up i want to watch. I use to get them all the time but i got sick of them always going to the ground and doing **** all. Now i just watch the ultimate fighter and that enough mma for me i dont need to get the ppv.

Thats what's ignorant. Haters always come out with that pathetic cliche, trying to ridicule it as a sport for poofs

I know many people who dont know any of the fighters, but love watching UFC cards. To say it has no appeal to casual fans is plain and simply bull****

Its not chess, and its not rocket science. All it is is boxing combined with other fighting disciplines

Not a fan really, dont like the ground stuff at all. Granted you can get boring matches in boxing and MMA, but i get bored alot more watching MMA.

I really like K-1 though, that stuff is savage. Anyone else like K-1??

MMA is quality!!! Boxing will almost always come first but MMA is right there behind it. Brilliant sport and to say that they are crude or unskilled is total bull****.

    ^^ O yeah, like K-1 aswell!:good

    It's the "New" Toughman contest..
It's an alt, It still needs another 10 years to really establish pure style.
(Right now it's dominated by mostly older failed MMA who couldn't do other combat sports)

The kids coming up w/pure MMA will evolve the sport.
I can appreciate the Subs & techs established by the true grapplers.
Sometimes the ref's overreact a bit to a possible hurt fighter, but other than that.
    I'll watch.

It obviously has some apeal to some casual fans, but the bottom line is........ to MOST casual fans it looks like to men rolling around on the floor. You dont have to be an MMA hater or a Boxing fan not to like/appreciate that.

I personally dont like the way MMA and its fans try to get notoriety for their sport by bringing Boxing into the equation, its like pecking away at the feet of the giant

I dislike boxing fans calling it "two men rolling around on the floor" and i dislike MMA fans calling boxing a dying sport.

I'm a fan of both, as a put in a prevous post about the subject, MMA learnt from some boxing's mistakes.

Like one belt for one weight division.
Less promoters, which can prevent big fights from happening.
Making big fights the fans want to see, not endless mandatory bull****.

Isn't that already falling apart for UFC? Yer man Fedor is signed up for a different promotion. So technically they don't know who the proper HW champ is. Just like boxing. And it'll probably get worse.

    So ? :huh

Mayweather got booed vs Baldomir... the crowd booed at one point during Morales-MAB II because it wasnt as good as the 1st fight... some fans are thick as ****.

I like UFC, fighters like Silva, Shogun, Penn & GSP are real artists & would beat the **** out of any boxer in a street fight.

I agree with Rushman tho, pride was better, I liked the face & head stomps.

I dont see MMA as a rival to boxing... I see 2 different sports & art-forms.

    :good

Not for me - I can't appreciate the finer points like I can with the sweet science. Not saying there is no skill involved I just can't appreciate it.

When one guy is laying on his back like a crab kicking up as another guy is circling him it really loses its appeal. It looks like the begining of what is to become a bad gay porno in a cage. (they would all be bad in my book)

You are supposed be on your feet to fight. :bbb

If you want to street fight/wrestle around go down to the playground......

I don't mind watching MMA but UFC drives me ****ing crazy because of its whole image and how its run. It just has the heavy metal/military type image with all the tapout ****. It has Joe Rogan as its announcer and often spokesperson, who is annoying as hell. On top of all that Dana White is the king of douches, Bob Arum is likable by comparison.
