I truly beleive he was a bit envious of Hatton's fan base ..I mean the hysteria at his weigh ins alone would make any boxer want that !
i was there and the atmosphere was quite different to the sky interviews. People were going crazy...it was crazyy
Really just hated for the one fight versus Hatton. But on his own i think most fans over here would appreciate him. Similarily if say Cotto, Pac or SSM did a public workout over here. I think many fans would go to that an all, I know i would, unfortunately i couldn't get in to this one, waited for about an 1hr and a half. Thats time i'll never get back It was badly organised, it should have been held in the o2 center.
yeh the peacock people i.e 'security guards' etc were a bad joke. It could have turned really ugly and really sad. Thank God it didnt. Floyd did hes thing, the fans that were inside provided a great atmosphere.
Totally, the guards didn't have a brain cell between them; you hear when they kept shouting 'Step back! Step back!" i was thinking how the **** can i step back, theres a million people behind me. At one point a few fans tried to make a break for it into the gym.....that was funny. Unfortunately for the fans, they failed lol Why didn't they have a barrier for ****s sake and make people queue in a line, they made it a free for all.
2 and a half hours I ****ing waited, 220 mile trip and I coulnt even get in!..... and I was there an hour early! did they let anybody in after they tried to drop the shutters and we all stopped them coming down? I was about 2 foot from the door, but gave up when the window got broke and the shutter came down................step back!
did anyone see the young lad who got crushed and passed out, he got taken inside by the doormen, cant have been older than 18, he looked ****ed through the window where I could see him.
I couldnt get in my bro..got in though....awsome to see a genuine superstar in the UK in his prime training... would be great if we got to see a genuine skilled champ like Mayweather fight in his prime. Sorry fellow Brits...seeing Calzaghe slap old timers doesnt do it for me. Get Floyd over here!!
Finally, since we didnt all get in, why couldnt he go up on the balcony where the camermen were and say a few words on the mic? Some of us ****ers done 220 miles for that punk to turn up 90 minutes late and not even see him..... well for a split second, that was it.
More good american fighters should do the same, as i said before i would love to see a Cotto/Pac/SSM fight over here and me sure they could sell many tickets (dependant on the opponent of course)
Was Kieron Dyer there? I turned round to see who I thought was Kieron Dyer, was gonna abuse the twat (in a jovial way), but then I lost him. I just got home and my mate reckons Kieran was on SSN, how did that ****er get in, he was behind me. Did anyone see Degale?
Arran. :-( I went down there eventually aswell, about 5 to 3 though, waited for literally a few minutes and knew we weren't going to get back in so ****ed off back home. I only live 10 minutes drive away, I'm be pissed if I travelled from Warwickshire like you.
I got there a 2.05 and still didnt get in, it wasnt due to start till 3, he didnt even turn up till 4.30
I got there at 12.30 and never got in. The whole event was a bit of a shambles and it could have turned nasty. All I kept hearing was 'Step back!'. I was surrounded by people and feared getting crushed so I had to get out.
