I feel this would be a good test of Haye's heavyweight capability.

Haye the former European / WBC / WBA / WBO Crusierweight Champion is 2-0-0 (2 KO's) at heavyweight.

Danny Williams can be a mental lazy - out of shape slob - at his worst.

But lets take a prime Danny Williams - a Danny Williams who has proven alot more at heavyweight than Daivd Haye.

Danny Williams who sparked out stopped Julius Francis and sparked out Mark Potter with one arm crippled - who blasted out a fading but still dangerous Mike Tyson and who was tough enough to hang 8 rounds with Vitali Klitshko.

I feel this is a real test for Haye.

Motivated Williams has the experience and power to make David Haye take him very serious.

    What happens and who wins?

    yes - same here

thats the whole point of this thread

we know what Danny Williams is about - he wasnt the greatest - or a heavyweight champion

    but Danny Williams is proven

this fight would be more about seeing what David Haye had got

I just feel Williams has the toughness to soak up early punshiment and the power to expose and unsettle and ultimately KO Haye

Any fighter that can hang 8 rounds of abuse with Vitali Klitahko is tough as ****

Tyson could not get Williams out of there despite landing early bombs

I honestly think Williams would upset David Haye here

williams was very inconsistant but on his night i reckonhe'd really lay it down on haye and most other heavyweights today give or take a few

The Vitali fight is not a good example. Danny lost that fight in the first round, the rest was just him taking punishment and Vitali being in no hurry. Haye would have hurt him just as badly in the first round, and similarly Danny would not have been able to recover.

Tyson was shot, nuff said. And the others guys Danny has beaten weren't as good as Haye.

Basically I can't see Danny catching Haye with anything, he's too slow, and he wouldn't be able to take Haye's power given his lack of defence.

For me it's a Haye victory, although admittedly Haye is a little unproven at heavyweight. I respect Danny Williams, the guy's got cojones, but I don't rate him that highly.

I am picking Haye, Danny Williams is a slugger with a good heart but decent skills but is a bit predicatble, Haye is too fast and has pretty good combos with nice body shots thrown in the mix, although i have question marks over Haye's chin.

It would be a really good fight, that's for sure. I'm a massive Williams fan so it's hard to pick against him but he'd have to bring his A game to beat Haye.

Haye. Williams, along with many other British Heavyweight contenders of recent years are a disgrace. Haye hurts him early and Williams doesn't recover coz he's fat !

David Haye for me. A shot Tyson aside Williams has spent most of his career pottering around at British/ Euro level with mixed results, winning a few, losing a few.

I think Haye, although unproven to an extent at heavyweight, is a class above anyone that Williams has managed to beat at the time he fought them and although it was a brave showing, being a punchbag for 8 rounds against a cautous Vitali doesn't have any bearing on whether he could beat Haye IMHO.

    I would pick Haye.

However we have seen Williams display amazing heart in the past, I just don't see it getting him through it in this particular match-up.

    Haye TKO 4
