Which is my point..Roach stated two things that I found interesting, ONE he stated that Pac has an Ego and Floyd is hardheaded and both guys want the bigger share. TWO he said that Pac has other options and floyd only has Pac. The fight isnt going to happen, it seems that Roach, Pac and Arum think that they are holding all the cards..But lets be honest floyd vs Cotto, Shane would be bigger then Pac vs the same two which we have already seen in the other two (Hatton, Oscar) and will most likely see in the third(Marquez). They arent really in the drivers seat like they think.

I saw that, but you seem to think that it can be overcome based on the FACT that you say Pac is a better fighter. I say he isnt. Im not saying that Pac has no shot at winning the fight, but its not likely, Just think a bigger stronger faster Marquez who Pac didnt really beat in two fights.:good

If the deal gets done the best chance is if Freddie has a say in it. He's a lot more sensible than Arum. 50/50 is the right thing. They'll make so damn much money it'll be ridiculous. Arum should keep his trap shut and let Roach do the talking!

this fight will get done. Either guy can take a 60/40 share against another guy like Mosley or Cotto and still wouldn't make the money they'd get in a 50/50 split.

May-Pac simply blows all other fights out of the water in terms of revenue and it's a no brainer it will get done, eventually. It might take awhile, but the other options for either guy are less money to fight bigger guys like Mosley or Cotto.

But the thing is I dont think that Mayweather vs Cotto would be any smaller of a payday. If Cotto could somehow beat Clottey and Shane it would be huge. I think that he can get by Clottey but I doubt that he would finish the fight in a rematch with Shane.

Im not saying that floyd vs pac wouldnt be huge, it would, but I just dont think that it would be much bigger then floyd vs Cotto if at all.

i think Pac-Hatton's buy rate is all the evidence needed here. Cotto's problem is that he never fought DLH. Fighting DLH is a God send for fighters. The exposure is tremendous.

May-Cotto, huge fight, agreed. Big time, hope to see it one day. But, at this point, I think May-Pac clears it by hundreds of thousands of PPV buys.

How do you know that he's the better fighter?, have you secretly seen them fight?

Only a match between the two will decide who's the better fighter, if it doesn't it will keep a lot of boxing fans lost and outraged that's why it MUST happen. If Pacquiao is known to be the better fighter then there won't be pressure to make it happen, it's just your opinion and nothing else.

Floyd hatton was bigger, it did more buys.

NO WAY does it do that much better if it does at all. Your still going to have a large number of people that think its going to be a mis-match based on the size, as is well documented here on our site.

hell yes, floyd-hatton was bigger. That's not my point. My point is that after DLH, Pacquiao had that kind of draw. He's a known mainstream commodity now. Cotto isn't. It's about being mainstream. That's why i believe Mayweather-Pac blows out Mayweather-Cotto in buys at this point.

Mayweather-Cotto could garner 1 million. But i can see May-Pac at 1.5 milllion.

It's going to make more buys and easily, that's guaranteed. With the way Pac is looking at 140 only ******s and Mayweather haters will mention size as a factor. To be honest I have a feeling the fight will kick off with Mayweather being the underdog if it's official, it's already 50/50 for many fans and Mayweather's performance against Marquez will play a major role in how people think this fight will go.

You're asking me if I've seen them fight? Of course I have.

And in my opinion it doesn't necessarily take a fight between 2 fighters to decide who's better. For example I can tell you for a fact that Mosley is a better fighter than someone like Quintana even though they never fought. And sometimes even a fight between two fighters can't determine who is better because styles make fights.
