The true haters only remember the losses that Vitali & Wladimir have. If you dare to explain how those losses happened you get **** for stating the facts of each situation. I'm a big Klitschko fan but all those losses are legit, but there are reasons why they happened, just as there is in any loss.

Good points all. Joe Louis was a great fighter with a great jab himself. The only real question is the reach & height advantage that either Klitschko would have.

This is true; however I think Wlad's current cautious approach would actually make for a tougher night for Louis because of how much Wlad focuses on that jab and not overextending himself to leave openings. The more wide open style he used to employ would've left more openings for Louis to capitalize one.

It's been said by credible experts taht Joe Louis was a sucker for movers and clever boxers. Wladimir's footwork is also vastly under-appreciated. But there's no denying The Brown Bomber was the absolutely best of his time, all those consecutive defenses of the undisputed title, he is no doubt an all timer. It's just hard to imagine him handling the big boys of today. Carnera was a protected fraud and is probably comparable to moderns such as Tye Fields or Vinny Maddalone, I wouldn't even say Mike Grant.

To try to equate Carnera to either Klitschko is kind of like trying to say Michael Grant was near equal to Lennox Lewis.

Joe lewis would get very much hurt against either brother, he did alot of lunging when he threw punches, honestly to even think joe would beat either brother is crazy, unless he nails them in the spin of there back after they been awake all night cause of a protesting mob outside there hotel, oh yea an there country is in the midst of a big war, then yea he might upset them, but taking in the size diffrence into account i still say he gets stopped

Why doesn't anybody go out and interview Muhammad Ali, or George Foreman, or Larry Holmes or any of the great boxers from that era and ask them how they would beat Wladimir Klitschko? :huh

I think they're both relevant. We constantly go round in circles on this forum arguing about how the modern fighters stack up against the greats from earlier eras. There are a few posters on the site who have some insider insite, or enough fighting experience to add some real insight. But t would be good to hear more expert opinions. The oldtimers' opinions could be very interesting as long as they don't let their egos get the best of them.

I liked the interview, it was interesting to see what an opponent thinks of the change of Wladimir's style since 2004.

Cry with laughter at Wlad's tentative, pawing bull**** against a chinny cruiser. :good

And "homo"?? Not me son, I'm happily married. But peruse the web at your leisure and you find many pictures of the Klitschko brothers posing naked together if that floats your boat. :hi:
