Pissed off!!....... heard the outcome earlier this evening on the way home. Disappointed for Hoppa and his ambitions. Credit to him for testing himself in the bigger pond with the stars in his eyes.
just an opinion westside, drinkin a few watchin hoppa get dropped thats how i saw it. im a hoppa fan and hoped it would of went the other way, anyway i thought this was a forum, obviously not. yeh i probly will get the mundine fight, why not its only $40 or whateva, sit back drink 24 and watch, cant see the problem with that, each to there own and all that.
**** hoppa, all he proved was how out of league he was, even with a 46 yr solid world fighter. He should stick to the local scene & give big bob, with angelo in his corner, a rematch he deserves. Bob will knock him out in the rematch with angelo barking up his ribs.
Exactly give him a farkin break. In his 13th fight he fights a former world champ, who has one of the best chins ever. So he was fighting no damaged goods with a name reputation. He fought a name who is no damamged goods. Fark, look at other fighters who have not stepped up, and look aat their backgrounds compared to Hoppa's. How long was his amateur career huh? Compare that with Geale, Dirrell, Ward, etc. With his limited experience he fought a good dude with alot of experience and he was shown why he shouldnt be in there, but at least he had a go. It took 4 years for andre ward to step up and fight a big name(a name who has been ko'd twice, and ward has a massive amateur experience). Im no Hoppa fan but i give props where it is due, and he has earned it, he had balls getting in there.
I tend to agree with this. All this talk about Hoppa 'having a go' is bull****, he only had a go because it was a bigger pay day in the US than in OZ. He's in it for the money just like Mandy and plenty of other circus entrants. Hoppa has little boxing skill, and really needed to fight some more live opponents here before he went O/S. He needed to give Bob the rematch he deserves and box this time, not wrestle. This whole Hoppa / McCall thing was the same circus act Mandy has given us the last few years. In fact it's even worse, because Hoppa hasn't half the skill that Mandy has. Hoppa would have known all along that he had no hope in this fight, he has no balls, he just saw $$$.
Cant blame him for seeing the $$$'s. He got himself into a position to earn money. If he is a circus act then it doesnt say much about us who couldnt even get 1 tenth the way there. Fairly ordinary form to be abusing a bloke that just got KO'd
You clueless ****, Hoppa was paid peanuts yesterday , how does he have no balls, if h ewas in it for money he would of stayed in Aus and picked no hopers and charged $50 to watch on Main event, most of his fights don't even get televised dick head, he has jumped in with guiys with way more experience than him and neevr ran his mouth.

Hoppa may not have half the skill of Mundine, or the ability of Mundine, or the cockheads behind him.... atleast he reached the shores and created support from fans. Sox, buddy... pal... What Hoppa realised over the limited duration of the fight is simple. He's not a future contender.. He's not a top 10 calibre fighter and he's not a **** making squillions by avoiding the facts. Sox... He took his complete fighting ability to the USA and failed. FULL CREDITS TO HOPPA! When was Mundines last fight in the USA?? Oh.. that's right NEVER. Hoppa may have seen the $$$.. but he went and chased the $$$ also. He made the utmost out of his limitations. TeamArab make the utmost out of the limitations of others.
Chill out guys, if you see it different good for you. I just don't see how kidding yourself into thinking you're on par with vastly superior fighters is 'having a go' at that stage of your career. IMO Hoppa should have stayed here and fought more OZ opponents. It's not that difficult, they'd be plenty of good fights within his league here. I don't for one minute think he should have fought no name tomato cans, but there is plenty here close to his level. Why fight someone so far above you when you know you have no chance. Hafta crawl before you can walk.
