Floyd Mayweather jr vs Amir Khan @ 147, late 2010 @ Wembley Stadium PPV BLOCKBUSTER

I've heard that Floyd has signed a five fight deal with GBP, which is great but if he fights Amir Khan I will be very disappointed. Khan is not anywhere near Floyd's league and never will be.

 

Khan would have to string together a few spectacular wins - and quickly - for this to be a viable option.
Can you imagine the hate Mayweather would get if he fought Khan instead of Cotto/Mosley?
Khan-Hatton at Wembley makes much more sense.

 

This would be an epic mismatch.

 

And Mayweather said he loves the UK and can't wait to buy a house and live here. Both were just buttering up the UK press.....

But with all these plans promotesr be spewing out, they sure need to bank on both fighters and be sure their record and marketting ploy is still intact!

Khan is already looking to be the oscar de la hoya over here etc. In terms of popularity.

 

I agree in principal, but styles make fights. And Mayweather was outboxed for a few rounds by Judah, and arguabley lost to Castillo, So its not like he is untoucable and we don't know how much Khan is going to improve between now and then.

FMJ could well lose to JMM anway, so all this could well be academic.

 

i dont think FMJ has signed for GBP i thought he was self promoted by Philty Rich records and Mayweather Promotions and he is just fighting on a GBP card as there organising everything and that what FMJ normally does
