No need to think - your national hero Calzaghe, assuming you're Welsh, had at least several worse defenses.

Adamek clearly tried to get the best out there and nobody would do it. (Godfrey, Flores etc..)

Seems like a decent stay busy fight for Tomek.

OMFG! Bobby Gunn's got another title fight?!

 

Hopkins lied about the $1.2 million second offer to Adamek. Adamek's mgr said they never got that offer and would accept it in a heartbeat. Hopkins lied when he said that on espn2. its at boxing insider,

 

Anyone remember that video of Bobby Gunn talking **** to Adamek like 1 year ago or so? LOOL that was the funniest thing ever.

 

Bobby Gun is about the level of a Tocker Pudwill. He's really that bad!

 

No. It's far from ****ing decent. This is a Calzaghe defence at it's nadir.

 

Bobby Gunn is the most pathetic title challenger I've seen in years. The guy got blown out by Enzo Maccarinelli in one round for ****s sake. This is an incredibly bad fight.

I don't believe that Adamek couldn't have fought a fighter like Enzo instead, if he really wanted to. As bad as Macca is, it's a much, much better fighter than one with Gunn. Adamek would win with ease, but it'd be a decent name on his resume and it would be better in the future for him.

 

Gunn is a gatekeeper. There are no other free contenders atm.

Perhaps, and I've come on here to give him **** for it. However, Calzaghe also had and won many career defining fights.

I do understand that Adamek is finding it tough to get decent oponents and its not his fault.
Gunn however is most definately NOT a gatekeeper!
He's a bum who was obliterated inside a round by Enzo fricken Mac!!
Honestly, he's the worst challenger for an abc title I've ever seen.
Locket vs Pavlik will seem competitive by comparison.

 

Gunn was the very last alternative..

BJ Flores and now Matt Godfrey backed down from a fight, theres no one really left but Gunn tbh. The arena is/was already scheduled for use
