HUH? that was a money fight for Pac. De la hoya calls the shots. Pac just agreed to what Oscar wanted basically. Good for Pac to go out and make a ton of bank on that one.

Stop lying to the masses. If you are criticizing fans for hating on Pac's win over Dlh, why is Roach asking the ww's to fight Pac at a catch weight? Floyd fought Dlh with 10 ounce gloves at the weight Dlh wanted, and Pac fought Dlh with 8 ounce gloves at a catch weight.

147 was a catchweight for the Oscar fight since he was a JMW and Pacquiao was a LW. So he is doing the same principle with Cotto and Shane. The reasoning is that moving up in weight is a disadvantage, therefore to level the playing field the opponent should also have a disadvantage.

personally, I'd rather see Pac beat these guys at 147. Its a bigger challenge but one I know he is good enough to pull off.

    147 isn't a catchweight ... 147=welterweight right on the button.

**and regarding weight, doesn't Pacquiao come in the ring weighing around 147-148 anyway?

I just hope all this catchweight BS doesn't prevent the fights from happening, as what if Mosley or Cotto cannot get down to 143-144?

    Nobody cares.

He can shoot himself all he wants, the Pacman is still going to be remembered as a phenomenon.

Going by your logic, Floyd went up to 154 to fight Oscar. So this means Floyd should now be fighting at 154 against all the junior middleweights, yeah?

I don't know why you pac haters keep using the Weight drained Oscar fight to knock Pac. Yeah as if that was some gauge for pac's ability, pac was a great well before he beat up Oscar . That was a exhibition match, it meant **** all.

Pac made his name fighting the bones of old war battered men. Morales and Marquez, and even Barrera in the rematch exposed Pac as a guy who if you make him box, he still has many flaws. Floyd will expose Pac tenfold if and when they fight.

well its not a catchweight in terms of divisions but it was a catchweight in the sense that Oscar was a jrMiddle, Pac a Lightweight, and they agreed to meet somewhere in between

literally though its not a catchweight but in this situation it technically was

Don't forget that even though the fight was at WW, Pac only weighed in at 142
