I guy who has never faced an Elite fighter in his prime can never be P4P no:1

hes at best been a top 10 P4P based on consitancy against a good level of opposition

No, never #1. Calzaghe held the #2 spot, and was hoping to inherit the top spot by default with the expectation that Pacquiao was going to lose to De La Hoya - thus the reason Calzaghe postponed announcing his predetermined retirement until after the holidays, IMCV. Fail.

hahaha hit the spot there, the guy was a carpet bagger, thinking he was gonna get that crown by default hahahaha , agreed massive fail by Calzhage.

dont think it matters that much though, calzaghe will always be p4p best in wales lol.

when Pac and JMM fought in March 2008, Calzaghe was #2. After that fight Marquez took the #2 spot back imo

He was #1 on Dan Rafael's list, and some others, until Pacquiao went up to 135 and destroyed David Diaz. Since then, I believe it has been unanimous.

Only in his own mind, the reality was very different indeed.

He was never 'officially' #1, but for a period of time, many people considered either him, Pacquiao or JMM to be, though more people considered Pac than either of them two.

Some thought so but most had him sandwiched in between Pac & JMM at no 2... I actually thought he was no1 just before the Pac/DLH fight but after that there was no dispute, it was Pacquiao.

Still tho, top 2 or 3 is a tremendous achievement, no doubt.
