Not true. Miranda showed a lot of improvement in his defense. Now, if Jack Loew spoke Spanish....

I actually agree with Finito. Miranda was an overachiever that got hyped because he had a great story and was physically impressive looking.

He also couldnt throw a straight 1-2 to save his life and has **** poor fundamentals.

He also had marginal boxing skills and false confidence in his own power, which was shattered when he ran into Pavlik and Abraham.

Bonilla is his dad and there is no way he is leaving him as a trainer. Hopefully he has fun being a gate keeper for prospects

Actually he looked a lot(maybe I exagerate) a few years ago then now.
With Ward he looked completely done. There was a time when he had a decent jab.

McGirt really isn't that bad of a trainer, he just hasn't had any great talent to work on.

Man I'm not hatin' on McGirt, and I agree with your post.

BUT, doesnt' it seem like all he gets is fighters who are on the last leg and know before they even call Buddy they might want a corner who would be quick to throw the towel if in trouble?

and possibly have plenty of water ready?:D

I would have agreed with you before this last fight. But I think he is ready to make a move. Bonilla is a great trainer for a guy like Quintana. But to try to make Miranda into a skillful boxer.... well, it just isnt gonna happen. I expect a change to happen.

    Only asking for educational reasons:

But didn't Bonilla let Edison live IN HIS HOUSE? If I remember what all I've read correctly? That would be a bitter break up, I'd say.

    PS- Send him to Y-Town!!

If Miranda "KNOWS" he can not hurt his opponent, or his opponent does not fear him, he is done. This is the type of mentality this guy has, he relies on his power to much, and to be honest with you, against inferior fighters he looks like a world beater, against the elite he nothing but another a gatekeeper/mandatory.
