i agree with most of what you mention except that floyd would bring in the majority of casual fans. i think manny would bring in BOTH to be honest. think of it, the fashion in which he fights, the ways his fights end, bring excitement and curiousity to non-boxing fans than rather a hit and run approach. the amazing amount of media this guy gets compared to what floyd gets whether it has to do with boxing or his life and activities outside the ring has to reach a much larger audience than floyd. i think floyd's stint with the wwe did help him gain alot of casual fans, but manny has just too many things going for him, especially disposing 2 of floyd's opponents in half the time it took floyd to beat them! does that mean that manny is the better fighter? in boxing, nothing is really a sure thing, but what manny's done compared to floyd it really does leave an impression on you. manny don't need floyd, floyd needs manny. period

60 %:rofl he aint no oscar delahoya. Pacquiao is just a big as him now with his dominating win over delahoya and hatton. He is the new boxing's golden boy and everybody from super featherweight to welterweight wants to fight him.

50-50 is the best way to settle this fight.

    Right on Vitor.

That is a flawed statement BIG time.

Why did Mayweather UN-retire if he doesn't need Manny? Do you think Manny needs some prima donna taking 60-70% of a purse when he was going to bail on a Hatton fight when he couldn't get 60% himself?

Do you think that given the fact Manny fought DLH and Hatton in his last two fights he needs the money?

    Floyd must be broke...

Lol Exactly. 60-70% means Floys is the draw and his opponent is not. But the thing is, Manny is also the draw. Whether who's sligtly ahead or not, without each other the fight won't be a super ppv fight.

That is why 50-50 is the best way to get this fight. Whoever wins can demand the bigger purse in the rematch.

Pac is the draw, but this fight should be 50/50.

pac is the fighter everyone wants to see. pbf is just there to get his ass handed to him. it would be generous to give pdf 45% of the purse. very generous.

As what I said, Floyd is not the only draw. Pac is also the draw. 50/50 accdg to merits/overall value.

If this fight was negotiated before the Hatton fight, as high as 60% would be fair for Floyd. The thing is, Pac just annihilated Hatton.

Only idiots will buy this post. Fighting Marquez @144 wil prove something that floyd has done better??? Look Pac fought this guy @130. If floyd wants to prove that he will be greater if he beats Marquez at a weight that Marquez has never fought at then he should fight MArquez @135. Got me?

From the way Richard Shaffer has been sounding - it seems like that if the fight happens that Mayweather will get the lions share of the purse.
