Valero walking straight lines with his hands down??? what Valero are you talking about???:huhBarrios and Soto were orthodox fighters who couldn't box a lick. Valero presents just as many problems to Guzman from his unorthodox stance as Guzman does to Valero with his defense. Soto isn't better or more accomplished. He just fought more guys that you know the names of:lol:.

But what has this bum done to get a 'guaranteed' fight with Pac?

Guzman's a worse style matchup for Valero than Pacquiao. Pacquiao is obviously a better overall fighter, but he'll step in the pocket and trade with Valero. Guzman would run all night long and keep landing pitty pat combos. Valero's feet aren't quick enough to cut off the ring against a runner.

valero's got a deal with bob arum that he has a guaranteed fight with pac.

when bob offered valero a contract to sign with top rank, valero's told him he has to have a fight with pacquiao down the line or there is no deal.

Valero should just begin to make his own, Similar to what PWill is doing now.
If he is as good as his last fights have made him out to be, then **** will happen.
But if he sits around and waits to get the "Showdown" fight now, he will be waiting a long time.

he should take some advice from the "voice" on Field of dreams.
"If you build it, they will come" carrer Valero build upon it...

You can pretty much guarantee it will never happen. He says he was guaranteed a fight with Pacquiao, but Arum's been silent on the matter. Contractually, there's no way to force Pacquiao to fight Valero. Valero MIGHT have a clause in his contract where he can opt out if he doesn't face Pacquiao within a certain amount of time, but I really doubt that Arum would have agreed to something like that. Arum is a lawyer, Valero didn't graduate high school and doesn't speak the language that the contract is written in.

I'd be willing to bet that Arum covered his ass on this one and that it just says something like "Top Rank will use commercially reasonable efforts to make a fight between Valero and Pacquiao", in which case there's really nothing Valero can do to enforce it as long as Arum is trying (which he has been).

, I wouldn't be suprised if there is a letter "B" in front of the Pacquaio in the contract. (Small print of course).

    And B for "Bobby"

It's going to be an interesting DEMOLISHION of pac over Valero if they meet but too bad,Valero has not yet earned his ticket and besides PAC could be accused of cherry picking if he fights Valero. :rofl:lol::rofl

NO! He has no guaranteed fight with Pacquiao. He has a better chance of fighting Pacquiao because they're both under Bob Arum's promotion company.
The Prescott fight was not a rumor, Valero ducked him saying that he wants to fight Pacquiao.

I wouldn't really be jumping at the chance to put Valero in with Pacquiao or Guzman if I was his promoter. Valero would have to move up another 5lbs so soon and I don't think thats neccessary to do when you are already up against the odds against the best fighter...

Guzman...welll...Guzman is a horrible fight for an aggressive fighter that hasn't got a huge amount of skill. Power is neutralized.

Juan Diaz might showcase him really well and act as a stepup at the same time as that would be an all action fight with both guys throwing a lot of punches. Valero's extra power could probably be the difference.

The Valero that you think is god.:blood He will get killed by Marquez, Guzman, Gamboa, Mayweather, and Pacquiao. Any elite fighter will put Valero in retirement and in a ****ing hospital.

Actually it's Valero's opponents I fear for going to the hospital or worse. Floyd would beat him on points but he has a good or great chance of knocking out anyone else. He has great timing and reaction. His boxing ability and talent is underrated. He also has more concussive power than anyone in boxing P4P. Having the ability to end a fight with one punch is beyond rare.

Prescott? There was nothing ever signed and Arum couldn't get it signed if he had wanted until TV rights were sorted out. I don't see what fighting Prescott would do for him. Soto or Guzman would be better right now.
