Those were Capetillo's words to a tired Margie after the 9th round in the Cotto fight.

He was specificly stressing that point to Margie.

Through Capetillo's eyes, what did he mean by that?

Why say " your punches should be SOLID by now " after the 9th round to a tired Margie ?

    Just a provoking thought ?

What are your thoughts on this ?

Margarito had loaded gloves in BOTH Cotto and Williams fights. If Mayweather fought him I bet he would go in with a baseball bat and you will find Freddy Wak buttnaked in the crowd fully supporting it. If you argue with Wak he will respond by posting pictures of his wife getting her teeth fixed in the lounge.

Dude.. wtf.. when you put words in quotations, that you means you have to quote it word for word. And you didn't. You paraphrased. He never said "by now"

He said "This time, your punches have to be power punches. Solid punches."

That's all he said. Nothing close to what you were implying..

There is no doubt in my mind that margo cheated, his % punches landed never went over 20's%.... and he didn't land any actual hard punches.... Cotto got hit harder than that in the Mosley fight....

Eh kinda, that's the problem with translators.... depending on where they are from the sentence can come out differently

I watched your clip of the 9th round....

How come Cotto's punches didn't have that thudding sound that Margie's did.

After the round the commentators said that Cotto landed the more effective blows....throughout the round they kept commenting on how Cotto is landing the more accurate punches.

There is not much of a thudding sound when Cotto lands...however even when Margie is not punching hard there is that thudding sound.

That's what the incompetent translator said....We'll never know what Capetillo said because of the translator. Capetillo did say something about solid punches though so it makes you wonder. :think

I'm not referencing off the translator....I'm going by what Capetillo is saying.

I don't know man.. I'm not buying it.. Capetillo is an experinced trainer and he knows damn well the HBO cameras will be on him with microphone and all in between rounds. Would he really be that stupid to say something aloud like that?

Now don't get me wrong.. I am not saying that Margo didn't cheat.. I definitely have my doubts about Margo after seeing Cotto's face after the fight.. it looked like it was tossed into a meat grinder..

Because before the Mosley incident there was no suspision of foul play. So no one would know what he's talking about. It only seems obvious now since we caught him with plaster
