Yeah ill be laughing as soon as Angulo knocks out Lara cause he cant take the pressure and the roughness involved in real boxing. Look there are boxers who do terrible in the amateurs and doesnt mean **** comes pro boxing. A good example is Alfredo Angulo who got eliminated I believe in his first fight, well that just means his style isnt suited for the olympics. I dont think all these cubans are bums like Fitzgerald is implying but I do think they will have a hard time dealing with elite level opponents once they get tested.
Fitz you talk some **** at times, it tends to mean your good posts are forgotten which is sad. You don't have to be completely dramatic and make absurd statements just to make a point. People don't have to be great or ****. You could simply make the point they are not as good as people say, and that you predict they won't go far, without having to big statements.
lack of technique? questionable skill? :huh i don't know about that. i'll be following these cubans closely.
I agree with only one your claims that cuban boxers have a lack of understanding of professional boxing and that is only because they are amateurs. Cuba has provided the world with many quality professionals like Napoles and Casamayor. Cuban boxing is one of the most technically refined amateur boxing programs in the world. I think you are simply crying sour grapes.
While I agree the expectations are very high for them and so they might be somewhat overrated you managed to make this a troll thread and a attention ***** thread.
are you stupid or what?? In cuba boxing is not a sport but a life style. They have schools for boxing where they educate kids to learn the sweet science. Cuban boxers is not allowed to turn professional because of their goverment.
i hope you understand that the reason he did that is because after he knocked the guy down he saw that the guy was so scared that he would not attack and i cant say he was wrong because the guy only landed 1 freaking punch on round 2. in another words him being a good counterpuncher he was daring the guy to throw but the guy just didnt do it believe me the guy doesnt keep his hands down when he is fighting good opposition
The bum didnt engage at all and guess what there were two rounds that lara didnt get hit with more than 3 punches. have you ever heard his interviews he never goes for the ko he just tries to outbox you every round and if the ko come great if not oh well. so in another words if the guy wasnt engaging much he was just going to do what was necessary to win. So what does the UD have to do with being a good boxer, it's not like he tried to ko him and it didnt work
