I don't think beating Vera means Mcewan beats Macklin, I think Macklin would also beat Vera; but if the masterplan is to get to a world title shot Macklin would be an extra fight for Mcewan now, purely because Vera has the bigger name in America. Mcewan will probably stay on the American route now, unless he gets beat at least.

So if a figher loses early in their career to a domestic level fighter it means they can never compete at World level. Poor Manny Pacquiao, looks like he's not going to make it after his loss against Torrecampo. Pacquiao just isn't in the same league as the unbeaten Devon Alexander. I assumed you meant Andrew Facey. I don't know who would win between Macklin and Mcewan, I would be hoping for Mcewan and would probably make him slight favourite but I thought Macklin looked good last time out and seems to be improving. Facey was a while ago now.
aaah. So Macklin was a novice when he got beat by Facey. Well, mcEwan is a relative novice at this moment too, & hes handling guys like Vera already. Macklin is crap, he will be sleeping on his face again before long. I would be more worried about Mcewan fighting Barker, that would be much tougher than the overhyped Macklin. & for the life of me, I cant get my head round why Macklin is suddenly becoming the new darling of brit ESB, what has he done to deserve the plaudits? hes also trying to find the biggest bum he can to pad his record with for his next fight. Barker is the real deal on these shores, macklin is a mug. trust me.

Macklin is a mug! Ol' Dunky...never short of a few harsh appraisals. I agree Barker is better and would outbox Macklin I'd think, as long as he keeps his dodgy whiskers out of the way which I think he would. McEwan/Barker would be a very clean technical boxing matchup. Really difficult to call. I think these McEwan/Domestic middleweight matchups are a bit of a nonsense at this point anyway. I just can't see McEwan going down that path unless Barker/Macklin go out of there way to go and fight in America. Otherwise there are other good competition McEwan could fight in the US such as John Duddy, Marco Antonio Rubio, Gio Lorenzo and these types of guys.

I would love it if you trained Paul appleby like I have always said here, & im a big fan of Limond & Burns, & always will be. I have went to dozens of Limond & Burns fights in the past. You shouldnt take my comments about Limonds WBU title fight personally, after all you know him, I dont. Limonds a good guy, but I do believe he has too much talent to be fighting the Ryan Barrets of this world for a WBU strap. Willie is in his 30's now too, he aint got time on his side anymore. man, once again its big bad Dunky, the evil scotsman blah blah blah... man, Im sick & tired of being sick & tired of reading the continous lies thrown at me every day about how Im this & Im that, I know nothing about nothing etc. & why? After all, if I slagged hatton off in the past for having a WBU title, it would have been hypocritical of me to say, its OK for Willie though, cos hes a fellow scot!!! I would have been laughed outta here. So I told the truth, & as a result i got his trainer Billy Nelson here, giving it "Whats your problem Dunky" in every post, talking to me like hes some pub toughguy, & making out I know nothing about boxing just cos I dont agree with everything that comes out of his & Limonds mouth. Its that what annoys me the most here, the fact that I get hated on just cos I try to keep it as honest as possible. & finally, my leaving bet. The guy i hd a bet with declared it null & void, cos he wanted me to stay. Some more people wanted me to stay around too, theres a thread & I got some PM's too asking me not to go. So I came back. Cos believe it or not, for every person who hates me, theres someone else out there who likes my style of posting, cos no matter what anyone says about me no-one can say I dont call it as I see it.
