who better executes the fundamentals of boxing? Who is the king of boxing 101?

PBF combines different styles and views boxing as an art of hitting and not being hit.

JMM, on the other hand, has a wide variety of punches and executes every punches into perfection.

note, that being the better technical fighter does not translate into a better overall fighter....

hmm says... I'll wait until July 18th. They're both great in their respective way, but I have PBF up right now in terms of styles match-up.

Between those 2, I would have to go Mayweather based on his lack of scar tissue & lack of damage accumulated over the years. (due to his speed & D)

    Defense: Mayweather all day everyday..
    Offense: JMM has Mayweather.

But overall, when it comes to mastery of the craft and use of all boxing skills
both legal and sometimes illegal, which is true TECH I'd have to give the crown to

    B-Hop.

There will be a bit of debate on this one, as I have seen in the past.

All I will say is make no mistake just because Floyd relies heavily on his athleticism and reflexes does not mean he isnt a very technically sound and well schooled fighter

Interesting question. I have JMM career on dvd and its interesting watching him change styles so dramatically. At first he was a technically sound counter puncher who seemed to dislike finishing opponents even when badly hurt. After the Pacman fight he had one more fight on HBO (while he was well known) and sucked as the opponent didnt come to him. So he was taken of HBO and had to fly to Indonesia to lose a very debatable decision and noly earn $32,000. The very next fight he was clearly more aggresive (against Jandaeng) and he has constantly been like that ever since. This has made him into a much more dangerous boxer but suspectible to being hurt and cut. The old version would have done better against PBF as he would not have followed him making PBF the uncomfortable aggresor.

I thought I was the only one that noticed that JMM basically just changed boxing styles...and effectively. You dont see that every day. He puts more focus on opening up and landing his power shots. Thats why he damn near stopped everybody that dont usually get stopped as of late. Stopping the tough ass Juan Diaz or a well motivated and sharp Casa is ****ing unreal.

tough one, JMM doesn't have the natural talent, the speed, the reflexes and the power of PBF.

    Money May.

Casa's washed up. Dude's been getting scraped lately whether the judges wanna acknowledge it or not. Kid Diamond was giving him the business and Santa Cruz got absolutely raped by the judges in his bout against him. If JMM didn't murderize Casa then that would have signified a problem.

Marquez has the more textbook stance and boxing technique, but Floyd is the more effective operator due to his fantastic intelligence and instincts. He's the more skilled of the two.

PBF is undefeated so he should be better between the two.

But JMM has 1 set of skills that Money Mayweather doesn't have... The desire to keep coming. Thats the one tangible, that is going to be the deciding factor. I think mayweather will out point him the first few rounds... But i think JMM will close in on him in the mid rounds apply strong pressure win some rounds but defiantly do some damage.
