Bigger Cherry picker. Calzaghe or Mayweather?

    Calzaghe who picked on over the hill guys, one dimensional one track fighters,
    hand picked opponents for a style that can be taken advantage of OR was it
    Mayweather who picked on over the hill guys, one dimensional one track fighters, hand picked opponents for a style that can be taken advantage of.

    Exactly how many times to we need to go over the same things in this forum? Everyone in history can be accused of "cherry picking" at some point. Quit whining.

    Everyone is ducking Paul Williams. Poor guy has to go from one class to another to get fights.

    BTW, answer could be neither if you don't believe either are cherry pickers.

    I would go with Calzaghe only because Mayweathers resume has a ton more big names on it with some actually in their prime.

    I guess I would have to give Kessler to Calzaghe, maybe even lacy? Hmm, not so sure about lacy.

    Oh its not a whine. Think of it as a poll.

    Now, sure, everyone cherry picks at some point, but some fighters do it much more consistently.

    I don't think you can accuse Cotto or paq , of this, although they may have avoided a fighter or 2 in their careers.

    To me, Calzaghes and Mayweathers careers are DEFINED by cherry picking.

    Bull****, Pwilly jumps up and down weight looking for the oldest and weakest, Josh clottey called his ass out and he just jumped division, there are tons of elite fighters from 147 to 160 and you're telling me he cant fight anyone?

    Calzaghe was 36 when he fought in the US and had been boxing for about 15 years with over 40 fights, hardly a spring chicken.

    Every fighter or their promoter can be accused of cherry picking, this thread sucks.

    TBH I think he just wants to make some money. Clottey is not a big money name yet..... YET..

    But if he knocks out cotto.... even then will never be a big money name.

    How much do you think Clottey Willy brings in? Even if Clottey wins.

    ****, Im starting to think like mayweather.

    On another thought, people realy ought to give some props to Cotto for taking this fight with Clottey. I can't believe he is taking it.

    He has so little to gain. If he loses people (general dumb boxing public) will think he lost to a bum, and if he wins they will think he beat a bum.

    I will be honest. I don't know much about Calzaghe's younger days.

    Maybe you do. Was he the type of guy who went out and fought the best fighters he could, did he challenge top guys in america when he was 28 or did he work hard to hype himself up and protect his O.

    No he was the type of guy who was and still is an intrevert and would let Frank Warren do whatever he wanted with his career and as you might sat cherry picked.
