Nice words from Mayweather, always liked him as a fighter as well. Hatton should listen to him and retire before he losses again and gets really hurt. Punch resistance and speed has gone, and that means more pain and possible serious damage for Hatton. You are a rich man already, dont be greedy and ruin your future.
Floyd is a money maker all the stuff his saying is just publicity so that all UK boxing fans will buy PPB when fight night will come. because He knows brits. boxing fans has a bigger PPV sales. and he knows it
Yes, I'm English and he knows the best way to get on the British fans side is by compiimenting Ricky Hatton's fans and given him respect. He needs thoses PPV numbers so he gets a good split with Pacquaio!
agreed!!! after saying a week before that he already ruined hatton in their first fight....just doesnt make sense why he would want to fight him again...
floyd doesnt want to fight mosley because of his losses. and before the pac vs hatton fight. he wants to fight hatton again. cherrypicking at its best.
Floyd v Hatton II would have made huge financial sense if Hatton would have beat Pac. He's not lying saying a $25 payday would not have been out of the question. Sometimes fights are about status, but usually they are about money. If you were in his position you'd be fighting for money as well. Don't even say you'd have enough money, ain't ever enough.
The people in this thread are either really dumb or just have no respect for Maywather. He isn't saying he only wanted to fight Ricky Hatton. he's saying that if Hatton won, he would have gave him a rematch. You guy's need to smarten up your comments.
It doesn't make people "dumb" because they would rather see a Cotto or Shane fight as opposed to recycling Ricky. The first fight wasn't some nip and tuck war that typically has fans wanting a part deux.
yes it does , because there only focusing on that one particular point . Yes he said he would like a rematch with Ricky but it was Ricky that announced that he wanted the rematch first. Floyd never stated that he was coming out of retirement ONLY to fight a rematch with Hatton, but many of the poster who responded to thread have chosen to interpret is as such. so interpreting some statement into something its not, makes you dumb.
Hatton left it too late to change his out of the ring habits. By the time he decided to do anything about it, his poor living had already started to erode his skills.
