I hope that the Peacock made a nice few quid.
However, this carnival should have taken place at York Hall - Floyd in ring and an MC - there is even a chance of a UFC-style Q&A.
There is nothing worse as a fan than travelling for hours to get somewhere and then being treated like a turd by a big lump on the door.
Apologies are worthless - I said that this was a crap plan on last week's BBC Five Live show four days before it happened.
I had this with Ali in the Seventies and Conteh in the Seventies.
It's no fun being told that something is open, making plans and then being pushed away.

    Adios.

Agreed. It should have been at York Hall where everyone gets a seat. They should have made it a whole production. It would have been great. Boxing clubs often don't have space for their members let alone the best P4P fighter in the world.

It was not a waste for anybody who managed to get in.
However, last year at the O2 the UFC did their usual meet and greet and talk before the show and I was stunned at how sensible it was.
Nobody was refused and everybody had a chance for a picture or a question. Shirley, Golden Boy could afford to hire a venue?

I want to introduce this on the day or the night before all live Setanta shows in Britain and Ireland.
It would be free. I might get Lonsdale to sponsor it.
I would try and get Richie, a couple of fighters and a trainer or two and about 500 nutcase fans...the joy!

    Adios.

    And a journalist or two.
And - and this is important - Spencer Fearon to MC the mayhem.

    It would be unique.

    Adios.

i would prefer to call them degenerates or just die-hards :good

some would say a man and his dog turned up to the human cockfighting meet and greet and thats why it was so "sensible"

any chance of setanta picking up the darchinyan card seeing as junior witter vs alexander has landed on it? in what is a winnable fight for junior

Agreed Setanta is Darchinyan's second home now:cool:

I wonder if ITV's Big fight Live will pick up the Witter bout? Re-run or something?
