Again, I threw it out there as a potential shout based on another poster recently mentioning it as his potential best performance in their eyes.

Nothing was coming to mind besides that and the Buster Douglas mention.

Randy Turpin could be a reason for arguement... His personal accolades suggest further greatness though.

james buster douglas is a good example , yet he did fight some other quality opponents and beat them. Greg Page,Randall Cobb,Trevor Berbick,Oliver McCall yet they were all decisions . But was Tyson really on his game that night ? Tyson did knock down james in the 8th rd and their was all kinds of contrversy surrounding the refs count and how long douglas was really down. Wasn' t Tyson also sick and having marital problems with robin givins ?

Conteh had it all together by the first Finnegan fight, IMO. And he put it all together on more than one occasion, as has been already been touched on.

    I disagree.

Braddock had a number of good wins over guys like Slatterey, Lewis, Laski and Farr.

He could fight when his hands wernt disintegrating.

I dont quite agree with this. Young was robbed against Ali, and he also had good performances against Ken Norton as well. For what was a short time, I consider that man to have been the best HW in the world from 1976-1977.
