Like I said, have you missed all his previous 39 fights? You know, you wouldn't be happy unless he got put in the ring with a concrete gloved Margarito!

    :rofl

How do you want us to answer that question in a way you would be satisfied?

"i wanna know what fight simply made him worthy of over 300 million"
No fight ever worth that anyway.

"When exactly did floyd ever prove himself"
Hernandez, Castillo twice, Corrales...BUt you already know that so...i don't know what to say.

I think Mayweather did **** at WW but you act like he never did anything good. That is call hate. No doubt.

I cant tell you two times when he proved himself, The De La Hoya rematch manny people felt the fight could have gone to Oscar I myself had it for Oscar a draw wasnt out of the question neither guy did enough to win Floyd got the nod (as if Oscar hasnt got some questionable nods when he was comming up right?)

However turning down the rematch was when he proved himself rather than to take the easy money there Floyd came at the public with the been there done that approach and guess what? Floyd was right, Oscar took a fight with Pacquiao and proved he was finished.

Then you have the other case in which he proved himself, turned down 8 Million dollars to fight Antonio Margarito only to have Margarito exposed as a cheater and Blown out by a 37 year old Shane mosley, if anything Floyd has proven that he didnt need those fights to secure his place in boxing.

Now that he is comming back to fight Marquez you know what that means~ he is obviously comming back for the meal ticket in Manny Pacquiao.

So to be honest Floyd has proven himself in smart business decisions and is now comming back for the fight that actually matters the most.:good

yo hatesrats bought up a real good point

thats amazing that margo fought all the top welters... never even thought about it till now....

but ummmm...... i think the actual fight that put floyd in the spot light was the oscar fight obviously.... and floyd let it be known for a very long time that he wanted to fight oscar and i think for floyd to get that fight he had to almost get through a list of accomplishments.... everything prior to the oscar fight was to actually fight oscar

when he beat the 7 bells out of carales even thou the bookies had it roughly equal.

when he ruined gatti and never got touched even thou there was a larger number of people it would be competitive.

when he knocked out hatton who at the tym was unbeaten and only dropped once and again large amount of experts sed hatton could KO mayweather.

When he beat castillo twice when castillo was a fearless warrior.

when he whooped philip n'dou who has a eye poping knockout record and made him look amerturish and show cased his own deffensive tallent which made highlight reels.

it goes on buh i have to take a **** now so close this thread please

simple answer : what made him worth the 300million? well the way he whooped fighters made us fans pay to see him fight again in the hope that he would 1 day get beaten himself and we can twitness that

    listen...
when morales and barrera gave their lives in the ring, we knew they were gonna make some more millions and go down as some of the greatest ever....

when manny stopped erik in 10 rounds, you knew he was destined for greatness.....

when mosley whooped oscar, you knew he was gonna go down as an all time great

    etc
    etc
    etc

WHAT FIGHT DID THAT FOR FLOYD.....GOD DAMN IS IT THAT HARD TO ANSWER A QUESTION
