Lets define ducking first... shall we.
If money is all that FMJr. is concerned about then ducking would be defined as failing to challenge an opponent who would stand to make him a great deal of money should they fight.
That would qualify MP, PW, SSM, AM, MC, AB(who was his mandatory before the 'retirement').

it's all good bro, you make some good points....

but when i said manny would back up his talk, he would :bbb:bbb
floyd talks a lot of mess before fights only to give us a borefest...and i understand that some may like that style, but why act as if your gonna go in there and go for broke....

Is he worth 300 mill? NO... Dose he need to step up and face some real challenges now that he's back? ABSOLUTLY! But lets get real here guy...

39-0... multi-division champ... probably won over 90% of his total rounds boxed.

Defeated: everybody at 130-135... plus- Manfredy, Coralles, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, Delahoya and Hatton just to name a few...

How much more proof do you want?

    -Genero Hernandez
-a bunch of succesful title defenses
-winning titles in 5 weight classes
    -Dominating Corrales
-giving Castillo a rematch and proving he's the better fighter by erasing doubt from the initial meeting
    - never losing and only having one legitimately close fight.
    - fighting above his natural weight and never losing
    - being on top of his game for a decade

    I'd say he proved himself

paul williams, shane mosley, antonio margarito and miguel cotto dont deserve to fight someone of mayweathers status. shane mosley has been doing well recently but in truth, there arent many ppl outside america willing to pay to watch that fight. cotto too, and margarito, and paul williams! he hasnt ducked manny pacquiao, infact, he knows as well as anyone that it will happen. and who is AB i dont know these initials?

if mayweather would have fought williams and got beat, williams would have been p4p best in the world... but would he have REALLY been best in the world?

if mayweather would have fought cotto and got beat, cotto would have been p4p best in the world... but would he have REALLY been best in the world?

if mayweather would have fought margarito and got beat, margarito would have been p4p best in the world... but would he have REALLY been best in the world?

same for mosley, i just cant be bothered typing it again :thumbsup

im curiouse tho, what traits do you think williams, cotto, mosley and margarito posess that mayweather hasnt seen before?

Corrales was a great fighter going into that fight he was knocking everybody for a loop very dangerous un defeated puncher that had insane size for that weight, Floyd made easy work of him, and this is a guy who moved on to struggle with Castillo another guy Floyd beat.

Gatti~ Exactly was a C level fighter, Hatton turned Floyd down, so did Cotto Gatti was the only fighter left at 140 that Floyd could fight, and Gatti at that time though shot though not a great fighter the hearts of the fans still had given him a shot to beat Floyd and even so no matter how you look at it Gatti is always dangerous

Castillo~ I agree 1-1 officially 2-0 but the truth is he did give a rematch and made it clear

Ndou your right nothing to see here

Judah was a good win but he has fallen short in big fights as well

Why are we leaving out De La Hoya? Floyd did get a win there and Oscar was comming off a big win over Mayorga like it or not Mayorga was still a force, has wins over Forrest and a few others Piccirillo and Six heads lewis.

Then you have Chavez who was always tuff, and Hernandez of which his only loss I beleive was to the hands of DLH

Not exactly a bad resume its not the greatest but you cant sit back and say he doesnt have good wins.

The only thing we can say about Floyd is his style isnt always fun to watch and he hasnt always taken the fights we would like him to see, but here is a quesion for you Freddy Wak~

Whos career is it anyways? :hey

i never seen any links where hatton turned him down at 140, and floyd himself said cotto was too green...i mean, sure he mentioned there name, but that's far from actually trying to make the fight happen......the kostya fight was excused with that whole showtime bull****....but the fight could've happened if floyd really wanted it

i had oscar beating floyd, so i scratch that off the list....
