Is Juanma Lopez Total Package?

He seems like the total package. His fight against Penalosa was impressive.

Now is the time to step up and fulfill his potential though. After Lontchi, Juanma needs to fight the big dogs and show us what he's got!

 

He still has to answer questions about his chin...apart from that I don't see many, if any weaknesses..

 

I thought he looked almost unbeatable the only time I saw him fight.

 

Total package yes.

 

True that Penalosa was tagging him pretty solidly with some shots... however I think that is mainly due to him throwing an ungodly amount of punches at his opponent and Penalosa is not a bad boxer himself.

Against other more powerful hitters in his league I doubt that he would go all out and leave himself vulnerable.

 

Good stuff....also I think after a few rounds, he had tasted Penalosa's power and felt Gerry couldn't hurt him so he just threw caution to the wind...however, he won't get away with that against fighters like Izzy and Rafa..

 

I agree with you and if thats the case Juanma is more talented than we think.

 

The one thing that impressed me most against Penalosa was his stamina. Thew something like 1,000 punches in only 8 rounds. Crazy.

But yeah, he seems to have everything for his style.

Juanma doesn't usually throw that many punches though. If you look at his (brief) fight with De leon he was a bit more composed and was wary of De Leon's power. I think the kid's smart enough to adjust his strategy depending on who is standing in front of him and not fight the same way every time.
