yeah seldon "looked" amazing physically for his age versus johnson. and yes he gave johnson some trouble early on. though the way he imploded against johnson was pretty bizzare IMO (it's been a while but i remember him appearing to basically collapse after not sustaining soo much damage). so unless he suffered some type of freak injury, he is either back to his "flopping" ways or his punch resistence is soo bad he shouldn't be fighting even guys of minto's caliber. but as you say at least he's prepared himself the way all older hw's should do if they're trying a comeback and hopefully i'm wrong about the kingpin fight and he can make a competitive showing versus minto.
Sadly, I didn't get to see the fight, but from what I have heard, Seldon was tko'd because a thumb got in his eye from one of Johnson's jabs.
Seldon had amazing handspeed in the 90's..... a lot of talent, but his heart too small and his jaw too weak.
really? jedi nobles landed a half attempt of a jab and seldon fell apart thumb in the eye seemed to be it......this was the fight with the best piece of trainer to fighter vocab you'll ever hear "your getting beat by a man wit titties"
HOW YOU GONNA LOSE TO A MAN WIT TITTIES? This should just be one big HW card full of jobbers in the division. I can almost guarantee you Charles White and I would be there. Fres Oquendo vs Odliander Solis Brian Minto vs Bruce Seldon Timor Ibragamov vs Dominic Guinn
If you think about it, Minto is one of the best Heavyweights around at least for America. In Europe there are some decent prospects. Right now there is really no serious American HW contenders. Chris Arreola is considered the best American prospect, and he is fat, slow, crude, easy to hit. All Arreola does is block punches with his face and brawl, both Walker and Mccline rocked him bad early. The guy sucks! I would give Minto a chance to beat him. Minto has some skills.
Arreola is not so bad as you say. He came back against both Walker and McCline and whopped the **** out of both men. He is very accurate with bis punches and can counter surprisingly well. He also has come back from being hurt and not panicked but kept his composure and knew exactly how to handle himself. Minto is a decent B-level fighter with middling skills and average power. Arreola would overpower him and bomb him out early, it would be nice highlight KO
Arreola does suck, he is slow, has no defense, and just brawls. He is going to be exposed badly when he steps up. He outbrawled Walker and fat washed up Mccline after getting badly hurt early. That **** aint going to work against a good Heavyweight. Walker is terrible, and Mccline was as fat as arreola.Mccline use to be physically very fit. What a joke people hyping this guy. He has zero chance against either Klitschko and about a 2 % chance against Chagaev, who is a skilled, experianced, boxer with a very good chin and movement.
