    neither.

the belts don't mean **** there are too many of them.

P4P is all myth, fantasy, and conjecture. It is perhaps the stupidest thing in Boxing.

just curious... in the past it seems like the most respected thing was having the belt & being a champ in your division... now it seems some people would prefer to be on the pound for pound lists

p4p is just a term used to define "best fighters regardless of weight"

(or more accurately best fighters relative to their weight)

    EXACTLY!!

Back in the day .. Having the belts meant getting PAID!!!

Now having a belt means little to nothing and being rated P4P means getting PAID!!!!

MONEY...Boxing has become a Money first Money second Money third then P4P and then Belts. Belts mean nothing anymore, or very little to fans. To the fighters they still mean alot but there are in 5th place behind
    MONEY and P4P

    Resume and recognition.

Though to most fighters it's money, as has been said.

Belts now in these days are like trophies that you see in second hand stores and in garage sales-abundant, cheap, and worthless.

It actually depends ON your weight class really. Unifiying at CW or having a belt at HW is more important than P4P respect since most guys ban the heavies from their P4P lists anyways.

At the lower weights? Gotta be P4P respect really.
