What happened to this guy retired undefeated and beat gomez to become a world champion(whose record is **** poor if you take out the Arthur win)
I dont know pal. I was there and thought he looked very very good against Gomez. I for one certainly expected to hear more from him

I heard he went back to building trade. Needed regular income the guy told me don't know if that's true but i know he is in the London boxing scene.
real shame i watched him a few times and the gomez fight showed he was a bit more then just average fighther he could of went onto european level for sure.
:huh Lears career was VERY short. It was punctuated by his stunning and brutal trench war at the time over Gomez. The fact he won the WBU wasnt notable at all as back then there were a ton of British fighters contesting that worthless belt. He called it time because of injury. Shame as i remember watching that fight live and at the time i wondered who he was. Im sure he fought out of TKO in West Ham.
