News from digital journal site in Bangkok:

Popular Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao wants to fight Floyd Mayweather, Jr. if he wins over Juan Manuel Marquez in their fight scheduled for July 18th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao thinks that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will emerge as winner over Juan Manuel Marquez in their July 18th fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mayweather has a lot of advantages. He is faster than Marquez and should be able to win, he said.

If this happens, he said he would like to fight him.

Pacquiao is presently in Bangkok on a promotional tour for San Miguel Beer. Earlier he was scheduled to meet with the Thai Prime Minister, Abhisit Vijajjiva.

    Ditto!!!!

If Pac-Man wants it ... he should be willing to compromise a little to make it happen. Floyd won't turn down the HUGE money this fight represents.:thumbsup

Excellent news. Mayweather also announced that he wants either Pac or Mosley next. Ther bigger fight, by far, is Pacquiao so expect that to be negotiated if Mayweather beats Marquez.

Roger Mayweather has also indicated that a fight with Pacquiao is only logical and beyond likely.

With Floyd facing off with Marquez and a October 18th date already set the only way I can see this taking place for Pacs next fight would be for them to sign an agreement now that Pac gets the winner.

I really don't see Floyd or Marquez willing to go straight back in the gym after preparing for the big upcoming fight they have in July.

Man it would be great...too bad its not going to happen. 60/40 is going to be a problem and Roach already admitted that he knows the only way the fight will be made is 50/50 yet he says in that article posted that he feels Pac should get 60/40 and said this on ESPN "floyd is hardheaded, and Pac now has an ego and he says that he has to have the bigger share its going to be a tough fight to make, the only way I see it is 50/50 but thats going to be tough"...

Floyd thinks he should get 60/40, both guys have other options and both will take them. My guess is Pac will likely fight and lose to Cotto, and floyd will fight and lose to Mosley, which at that point they would both fight rematches.
