He had Tszyu, he had Casamayor Freitas, they would have been interesting tests. Yes Floyd looked like magic vs. Corrales and Genaro.

But it's what have you done lately. Floyd really proved a lot when he ducked Margarito, then Cotto, now Mosley and he is in the complicated tricky process of dodging Pacquiao. The underlying feeling about Floyd's career is he ducked and dodged the best while handpicking safe fights.

He would really prove this generally accepted notion to be false if he were to take on Cotto, Clottey, WIlliams, Pac or Mosley next. But we know he won't and will opt for Spinks or Judah II or some other ridiculous handpick.

He didnt duck anyone you clown. He called Mosley out multipe times. Cotto and Margarito are nothing but B level fighters. He is going to whip Pacs ass. Why would he come back for if he wasnt? Dumbass.

Come on now. Corrales at 130 for all the marbles was a superfight, and while Chico was a bit weight-drained, Floyd fought a flawless fight regardless of Chico's state.

I thought Floyd lost the first Castillo fight, but he dominated him in the rematch. There was no doubt who the best was at 135.

140 = no love. Corley, Bruseles, and Gatti isn't exactly P4P comp. And I'm a big Gatti fan.

147 = Baldomir was the true champ at the time so you can't criticize Floyd for taking that fight. Judah was also a solid win as he had just lost the undisputed title to Baldomir beforehand. Hatton was also a good win albeit having him move up from 140. Any fighter with a half a brain saw the dollars in a fight between two undefeated undisputed champs. But I will agree here that he avoided Margarito. And after this Marquez fight, if he takes on Pacquiao, and wins that too, THEN RETIRES, it's safe to say that he ducked the best at WELTER if he doesn't take on the winner of Cotto-Mosley II if he were to get by Pacman.

154 = People hate on him taking on Oscar now, but he deserves all the credit for that win. Granted it was only for a belt and not the real title, but Floyd moved up in weight and took a fight where he wasn't head and shoulders the favorite.

So to answer your question, at 130 and 135 he cleaned house. Not so much after that, but it still doesn't take away the fact that he cleaned house in the lower weights. At 147 the door is still open for change. In other words, I think the better way to phrase your question would've been, "When exactly did Floyd ever prove himself...above lightweight?"

Void proved himself when he refused to fight Margarito for huge dollars.
He also proved himself when he refused to fight Cotto, Mosely and Williams.
His latest refusal to fight Pac is also proof of his fear. So, Void will fight a lightweight, then go after Christy Martin.
