Forget Barkley, If you want to mention records, Duran is 1-5 against Leonard,Hagler,Hearns and Benitez. You can mention Norton against Ali also. Duran wasn't at the top of his game? His fans always say that when he lost, but he always lost to the top fighters Pacman fought older guys after they were prime. Marquez and Delahoya are not names you can put under prime top guys.. Hearns fought better guys who were prime and were champs. Pacman did not. You cannot change history just because you want Pac to come out ahead. Pac is not at the level Hearns is yet. Even if he did beat Diaz and a washed up Oscar and an overrated Hatton. Come on. Still in his last 3 fights, he has not beaten a level of Mayweather. In his career he still has not really. Not an undefeated prime guy. Not yet. No matter what.
Hagler was active when Hearns fought him and natural at his own weight. Benitez was champ when Hearns moved up and fought him. Leonard was prime and Hearns actually before his prime and Hearns fared well. JMM has been totally overrated. He is not ATG. MAB and Morales are ATG. But Pacman did fight them after they were getting a little worn out.
Morales was active when Pacman fought him and natural at his own weight. Barrera was champ when Pacman moved up and fought him and destroyed him. JMM was prime and Pacman actually before his prime and actually won their first fight. How can you call someone worn out in the first place? Hagler was prime when he fought Hearns? Hagler retired two fights after fighting Hearns. Barrera went on to reclaim the 130lbs division. This over-the-hill excuse is getting tiresome already. Its not how you fought the ATGs, its how you fared against them. Yes, JMM MAB EM are no Hagler SRL duran. but Pac cleaned them up and Hearns did not. So how can you put Hearns higher than Pac?
knocking out Cueves and outboxing Benitez and Virgil Hill and knockout out Duran is more than Pacman has done. You can mention Leonard and Hagler all you want, and Pacman has not fought his Leonard or Hagler yet.
Rofl. Pac has a huge lobby on this forum. The same poll was done for Mayweather and Hearns blew him out. Pac is actually winning lol.
I have been up at night and in the day here in the USA. In the daytime Hearns went ahead of Pacman. Then at night Pacman does better than Hearns. This shows how these polls are unfair. That is not objectivity. The poll is not a good one. I think asking boxing experts would be a better thing than asking any boxing fans.
really? you're such a stupid ****in hater, *******! get off cherry picker floyd's ass for once, to realize how stupid this statement you just made.:nut
I think Pacman is HOF but to call someone an a-hole for an opinion is forum stupidity. Pacman did some big cherrypicking with Hatton after Oscar did some cherrypicking with Pacman and it backfired. Oscar knew he could not handle a bigger guy. Someday this era is going to be known as the cherrypicking era. It started with Roy Jones Jr. and was continued by Delahoya and Mayweather. Pacman rarely cherrypicks, but Hatton was a handpick. He did everything better than Hatton who stuggled in his last fight and was knocked out by Mayweather,- Mayweather couldn't even knockout Baldomir. Do you think the ATG list is so easy to get in that top 100 is something Pacman should just easily glide into? He has a good career but let us see if he can beat a Floyd Mayweather quality. If you tell me Floyd is the same as Ricky Hatton then you do not know boxing at all.
Hearns was gaining votes before in the daytime and now Pacman is. Either way that is not objectivity. My gut tells me Hearns is more iconic in boxing history and his name will stand the test of time more than Pacman.
Pac will not lose a poll for a while. There seems to be hundreds of Pinoys here and they all come out like roaches at poll-time!
No. I know that Hearns fought better competition, beat better competition, and did this in a stronger era. What a bunch of *******s think is of little concern for me. dont get butthurt.
in pacman's case, it's easy to qualify him inside 100 of the atg list based primarily on resume, quality of opponents and his accomplishments. he is a 4division lineal champion at this point of his career. that alone says so much already of his probable place in boxing history. if you are having a damn hard time justifying pacman's case whether he gets inside 100 of the atg list or not, then it's you who don't know boxing at all!
so that settles it. just wonderin why you gloat on the results of polls that favor pacquiao. next time, if you see polls that involves pacman, don't even try to see the result so that you won't get butthurt.:nut
