What Margarito tried to do is far worse than Mosley allegedly taking steroids. What Margo did could easily cause permanent damage to a fighter.

While it is true that hitting someone with loaded gloves is very dangerous -- it NEVER happened in Margarito's case. He was caught before he had a chance to use them. It falls in the category of ATTEMPTED USE.

It cannot be proven that Margarito EVER used loaded gloves in the past and he didn't use them against Mosley.

Mosley's case is very different because he actually used the juice for an extended period While paying $1200 per month straight to Balco. He actually had fights on the juice and benefited from its use. :-(

And if you want to compare ATTEMPTED USE to USE, you can't.
In one case the usage never happened and in another case it did happen.

 

The intent is there, that's more important than the execution.
