Floyd or Pacquiao? Who is the draw?

I think fans think when Floyd is picked as the bigger draw we are somehow saying Pac is not a draw.

Pac is a big draw, just not the biggest in boxing.

 

Another ****ing dumbass. Check his PPV numbers before Oscar and he was doing just fine some of the best in the sport.:deal Check the PPV numbers that have been posted in this thread before making sucgh ridiculous unfounded claims..fool.

 

At this point, Pac is probably the bigger draw.

The comparisons of each versus DLH and Hatton needs to be more carefully examined.

DLH:

In both cases, Oscar was the biggest end of the draw. Maybe he shouldn't have been, but he very clearly was.

Aginst Floyd, it was expected to be a close fight with any outcome possible.

Against Pac, most people were expecting a mismatch, hence less interest.





Floyd had NO big ppvs prior to Oscar.



Hatton:

Again, Hatton was as much of a draw there as Floyd. He was undefeated at the time and in good shape.

Against Pac, he had deteriorated somewhat, had lost his zero and the fight was in much tougher economic times when there would be more reluctance to fork out $50 for a half hour's entertainment.

And yet, both Hatton fights did about the same.


If you remove Floyd's two biggest paydays, where he was NOT the draw in one and arguably not the MAIN draw in the other,

Pac's numbers are better.



A little bit of Karma here in regard to Pac. He wanted (and got) the lion's share against Hatton, unjustifiably.

Now he faces Floyd's desire for the lion's share, again unjustifiably.

50-50 is a fair split, assuming he gets past JMM.


If he doesn't, then he doesn't even deserve to get in the ring.



For background, even though I'm a pac fan and NOT a Floyd fan, I give Pac little chance in this one.

Maybe I should know better, having narrowly picked both Oscar and Hatton over him.

But, unless the layoff has been decisive, this is a whole different fight from the other two.


I hope he pulls it off, but I fear he won't.

 

This always happens and eventually it's signed, it's more promoting the fight some more and keeping the fans waiting than anything in my opinion.

Same was happening with Pac/DLH, Pac/Hatton and now this. Let's just wait for Marquez/Mayweather then we will get the final answer, it's way too early now and Pacquiao already announced he'll wait for Mayweather/Marquez winner before announcing any fight.

 

PBF-JMM will do better numbers than Pac-JMM.

 

This poll is a perfect example of people being blind haters. The numbers show us that Floyd is the bigger draw yet Pac gets more votes. I would bet money that Floyd vs JMM will once again outdue what Pac did vs the same guy for the third time in three fights, but yeah that shows that Pac is the bigger drawatsch

 

The only difference I really see is the Oscar fight.Unfortunately I wasn't around to watch the buildup for the Pac Hoya fight. But I know they did a great job at marketing the Floyd match.
This fight was being billed as the biggest matchup since Whittaker vs. Chavez.
Sadly it dissapointed and it turned around eventual boxing fans who would spend more time knowing what was going on.
Like it or not Oscar really put that fight on his back and promised a war as did Floyd.People really thought they were gonna get the fight of the millenium and common folks who don't follow boxing were duped into believin this.
Oscar and Pac was looked at as a mismatch.

In my eyes they are equal sellers and after what Pac did to Hatton he may be ahead.

 

Money May is the juggernaut of PPVs

 

Excuses dont by fights. I think that the fact that Floyd merely saying That Im back overshadowed Pac vs hatton tell you that floyd is the draw. When Talking with Freddy Roach, Brian Kenny spent the first 5 mins talking about Floyds return, the he said "Now lets talk about Pac win over hatton"

Floyd is the biggest draw in boxing with Oscar retiring. accept it and move on.

 

I couldn't agree more. It should have been a public poll.

 

Its clearly Floyd. Floyd was doing against Baldomir and Judah what Pac was doing against All Time Greats. When Floyd fought dLH and Hatton Pacs numbers didnt even come close.

i think pac has the more fans, and floyd has the most haters....
people watching pac wanna see him win, people watching floyd wanna see him get his block knocked off...

either way, they're both pretty big draws and that fight will do well financially if it ever comes across....
