Your right. But Ottke had some 300 odd amateur bouts and already had about 10 championship fights at the time. While Mundine was 18 months into his pro career after playing professional rugby league for 5, 6 years.

So, a world champ with 320 fights behind him, against someone with 10 fights behind them.

Even given the fact that Ottke was feather-fisted, I can't see the shame in Mundine losing to him at that stage.

320 fight's worth of experience vs 10 fights. I just don't see how anyone could expect any other result than the fighter with only 10 fights behind him getting thrashed.

Can anyone think of any other fighter, who with only 10 fights in total, should be embarrassed by being thrashed by the reigning champ who has 320 fights experience?

As much as I think Mundine is a total tool, and as much as I have enjoyed every one of his losses, I don't think that measuring his ability by the Ottke loss is particularly fair or educated.

Any decently intelligent person will reach a similar conclusion to yours.

Ottke was even amateur world champion as well!

Mundine then with only 10 fights go up against him - which really is cracy stuff.

The most cracy thing about the story is not that Mundine was stopped, but that he pressured Ottke while the fight lasted. That is truely incredible with only a football background and 10 fights.

Let me save you some trouble.Almost no cares about Mundine outside of Australia.

His two WBA titles are the biggest farce I have ever seen. He lost to Ottke and Kessler, they were elevated to Super Champion and the WBA made up a bull**** belt for Mundine.

Yeah it might have. The problem is that people will post exactly the same thing you have posted, but they will be 100% serious.

Kinda hard to tell it apart.

I hate Mundine, but I think he would edge Pavlik [if he was at his best].

Well I don't hate him, but I'm far from a fan. I dislike him because of his unfounded arrogance, some of the stupid comments he makes, and because he wastes the talent he has by fighting nobodies.

Yep most of that is about right....however

He says silly things for a few reasons

    1. Hes a bit silly
    2. It gets media attention, he is arrogant for the same reason.....In person he is very quiet and humble.

Hes not good enough to beat the top 3 in SMW or MW so why try....better off making loads of cash fighting average fighters and step up once a year against a top 10.....try to pick up a few vacant or regular titles along the way....hes doing ok.
