Chagaev verus Valuev. Your pick and are you interested?

Chagaev beat him very easily last time. Really easy. I made a thread analyzing that fight last time and I've no idea how they scored it a SD because Chagaev won wide.

If that was a SD, then Chagaev having been inactive/injured is likely to make the gap a little closer and I wouldn't be surprised to see Valuev get the decision.

 

There's a reason they took the fight to Finland.
Even if Chagaev beats him again, he's getting robbed this time.

 

Unfortunately it's not going to happen.
If Chag's behaviour is any indicator, the judges already got their instructions.

 

Chagaev UD.

Valuev was dreadful against Holyfield. Holyfield wasn't that much better either but as the champion that was pitiful stuff.

I thought Chagaev deserved the UD the first time out, it wasn't faultless but he got his in-and-out attacks right, so I hope he repeats the result even better this time round. I simply do not think Valuev has credibility left and I'd prefer someone who has.

 

Im not interested, Valuev already lost his intrigue when he was outboxed by Holyfield and Chagaev, and Ruslan well he hasn't shown me that his willing to challange the Klitschkos, so bottom line, this fight doesn't have any significance.

Especially when you consider all the injustice suffered by so many guys who fought him. Donald - robbed, Ruiz - robbed (twice), Holyfield - robbed, Chagaev - robbed (of a clear UD)...

Chag didn't show up for the media workout.
Chag didn't stay for interviews and left immediately after the press conference was over.

To me the guy is acting like he's given up all hope and is just there to show up for the fight. It's a sort of "leave me the f*ck alone people can't you see I'm being screwed over here" behavior.

 

I think he means Team Chagaev already sents a robbery in the making. But maybe such a robbery wouldn't be that bad for boxing. Imagine Valuev getting a really discraceful decision, he would pretty much be forced to fight the K-Bros, since it would be his last chance at a big payday.

Like a fool I'll be tuning in hoping for an entertaining and dramatic heavyweight world title battle, only to gradually, round by round, sink helplessly into an unbreakable 1000 yard stare, drooling beer into my Pringles like some sort of lobotomised vegetable.
