Mundine VS Geale.....how will it pan out?

Ash im happy you enjoyed it and i probably will when i view it but if you consider that a world title fight then the sport must really be in the crapper down under , its the same here when the WBU and the like are billed as for the WORLD championship its utter bollocks , last month we had Pac v Hatton billed as an IBO fight but in all reality it was for the undispted title at 140lbs the fighters made it that way not the trinket , they are all bull**** if you ask me these days the WBA , WBC , WBO ,IBF , WBU , IBO the fans know who the real top lads are in the weight divisions and it ain't determine by whatever trinket they are fighting for .

 

Mundine needs to retire his black arse.

So teke, are you finally willing to concede that Mundine's form has declined more than Marcus' sex life, or do you still think the guy you saw last night would be able to get within a couple of rounds against Kessler?!

 

No why would i say that Pecks, if he had declined he would have lost the bout. Geale fought bloody well, he landed more clean punches on Mundine than Ottke, GReen and Kessler combined. The main reason is because of how Mundine fights now compared to back then. He ran back then, he stays and trades more now. All this rubbishing of Mundine just takes away from Geales performance, he's not a bad fighter as i just found out.

Before the fight, you told me that this would be an easy night at the office for Mundine, I didn't disagree either. I thought it'd be a relatively good risk, minimal reward type of fight for him.

We both thought it'd be a massive learning curve for Geale, and that he didn't have the experience to be able to give Mundine much trouble while losing.

A Geale (who presumably fought out of his skin) should have only went so well. If you think this performance would have earnt him the same narrow loss against a 2005-2007 Mundine, than you're absolutely kidding yourself.

The massive difference between Geale and Kessler is simply that. I'm sure even Marcus would acknowledge that Geale isn't anywhere near Kessler atm.

That aside, surely you must at least be able to see that Mundine's power is completely gone now, and that he wouldn't be able to punch his way out of a disease infected womb.
You predicted a KO win, and said in the Taylor fight that Mundine could have ended it whenever he wanted.

 

That's right i underestimated Geale totally, he's a good who came in with a good plan. Mundine hurt Geale a few times so you cant tell me he had no power.

 

Both Geale and Mundine have very poor power at 160 for top level boxers. Mundine also has a lowish workrate and doesn't throw combinations much = zero chance against Pavlik.

 

I've always thought Geale was good, really good.
I truely believed he had the capability to beat Mandy, and I still believe that.

I also think that after yesterdays fight, Mandy hasn't declined much at all. Maybe his power has diminished a little due to the weight, but that's about it.

Both fighters stepped it up considerably compared to their last few fights.

As pissed as I am with the judges decision, I thought both men fought an exceptional fight. They pushed each other hard.
And whilst it had differences, it reminded me of the Cal - Hop fight.

I'd go as far to say that Geale troubled Mandy more than Kessler did.

 

Geale troubled Mandy way more than Kessler did. Ashley and I both looked at each other when the cards were being called out...we could read each others mind going "oh ****" I thought Mundine looked pretty dam good against a fighter that was tonnes better than imagined.

Im a Geale fan now.

You know it's only a matter of time before it ends for Mundine and then you and Marcus will have your ownage of me once and for all
