A quiz..where I'll lead off with a quiz question, to be answered by whoever can answer quickest, like off the top of your head, then whoever gets it can ask a quiz question of his own, to be answered quickly, and so on, ad finitum, et cetera, ....for starters, name the first guy to go the distance in a title defense with Jose Pipino Cuevas...

Yes, the referee is so very important.............okay, this thread is going nowhere fast. Can ANYBODY name, off the top of their head (I know you have the internet) the guy who sopped Jose Pipino Cuevas' ko streak and became the first man to go the full distance (15) with him? I just checked, and it IS the Classic Forum.

Randy Shields. Went 15 rounds with Cuevas in 1979.

Which fighter has competed in the most World Championship fights?

I was with Emile earlier today.

Who was the 1st non-heavyweight to appear on the cover of "Sports Illustrated" without ever winning a championship?

Julio C. Chavez with 37. The next closest I believe is Joe Louis which is around 26 or so, then Ali right behind.
