No one wants to take a guess.

Who was the 1st non-heavyweight to appear on the cover of "Sports Illustrated" without ever winning a championship?

    Here's another one for you.

Who was the ONLY born muslim Heavyweight Champion?

Yes! Now try the other one.

Who was the 1st non-heavyweight to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated without ever winning a championship?

    Here's another one for you.

What boxer once killed a man in the ring with the same name as his?

I'll take a couple more swings at this just in case Papp is wrong:

Roy Harris got a cover, didn't win a title, but was a heavy.

Basilio and Saxton shared a cover, both non-heavies, but both won titles.

Not Papp or Carter. This boxer was listed as a Light Middleweight and ended his career with only 1 loss in 25 bouts.

Griffith was a Champion and had 112 bouts not just 25, BUT there is a connection.
