He brought enough to school Margarito up to the injury and still lost a debated one. He might not have any outstanding weapon other than the overlooked physical strength, but also doesn't have major weaknesses. Solid skills, solid defense, solid punch variety, solid chin, very solid body. He won't be pushed back, he won't break down, he won't get tired, Cotto, the slightly more skilled and slightly faster fighter will have to be on his A++ game for 12 whole rounds and box beautifully to get a close decision. But I've never seen Cotto doing his best for 12 rounds in a row, and that could be the decider.

Clottey's stamina is in question, and he goes stretches on defense without punching, just covering up...not to mention he's been known to self destruct

Cotto's clearly not perfect, he can be rocked, and he tends to cruise the later rounds, but........Cotto is still a P4P talent, Clottey is not, and above that he doesn't bring anything to the table that Cotto hasn't handled b4

Besides his size, and phyiscal style, Clottey has two other attributes that could bother Cotto. Number 1 is his straight right hand and number 2 is his uppercut. Cottos is susceptable to both of these punches.

Uppercut of Clotteys is good but i dont think his Str8 right is really that great. It doesnt pack alot of power.

Then again, that's what most people said before the Margarito fight.

This is not an easy fght for Migeul. I expect him to win something something like 116-112, but not without Clottey having his moments.

most don't equal me, Cotto had never fought a guy of Margarito's size who brings the constant pressure he did, not to mention his chin

if he took Mosley's straight right all night, i'm 1000% positive he can take Clotteys, same with his uppercut

It packs enough punch and it will deter Cotto from coming in on him.

Well, Clottey is just as strong physically, and has a chin as solid as Tony's. Combine that with better handspeed and defense, and having the style to handle pressure well, at least you should expect a close fight, because Cotto is not going to break him down. And when physically strong guys were still there after R7, Cotto had all sorts of troubles (Mosley, Margo).

Monstar has a point... Shane landed some nice rights....Cotto still fought his fight and didnt get hurt.

nah, i dont to be honest...Cotto knows how to steal rounds, and Clottey's defensive shell will make it hard for him to take rounds, i cant see him winning more then 3 rounds

but at the same time, if any1 gets hurt i think it will be Cotto, though i dont think he'll get dropped or stopped

i think the rounds will be close, but Cotto will clearly have won more, thats how i see it going

This will definitely be tough but if Cotto sticks to body punching he can actually stop this guy. Clottey has terrible stamina and if you wack him in the body a lot like Cotto usually does but somehow forgot against Concreto he would slow Clottey down even more. Cotto has what it takes to win this one and I just can't see Clottey doing much about it, Clottey barely looked good against a shot to death Zab Judah, can't see him pulling this one off.

It's a close fight in my eyes. I'm going with Clottey though.
